Yeah, there are going to be some really upset people when LSU is 1-2 going into the LA Tech game.

8 wins unacceptable if you have a solid track record of 10 win seasons and a BCSNC

8 wins acceptable if you have the worst SEC record in history. And talk like us.

Call it a hunch or whatever, but a lot of people are going to get caught sleeping on LSU this year. This is the first season in a while we’ll be able to play the underdog role on a regular basis, and I think we’ve got the ability to fully take advantage of that. Despite the experts predictions, LSU is still a program closer to competing for a title than a program competing for bowl eligibility.

We will be better on offense and defense this year... again IMO... and that’s from a team that really should have won 10+ games if not for the brain farts against Troy and NotreDame.

I was underwhelmed by the Ensminger Hire (mainly due to the promises made by Orgeron when getting the job), but I do expect our offense to be more efficient and stable and balanced this year. Our offense will find an identity, something it lacked last year.

Defense will be better, special teams will be better.

We’ll see what happens, but I sincerely believe this will be a 10-win LSU team.

LSU will roll Miami. If we don’t, I was wrong, but I have a strong feeling about it

I'll disagree with you on this point. We had an identity last year, it just wasn't the one Orgeron wanted. After Troy, we ran the ball about 2/3 of the time and implemented more shifts and jet sweeps. Just like Canada was doing at Pitt the prior year.

We will be more balanced this season, and I believe this can be a 10-win team, too, but we really need to win some big games. Something that has been a problem for Orgeron.

Do positive people upset you? Are you that entrenched in wanting this team to fail?

It’s possible but the lack of running game scares me. We could dominate Miami and I wouldn’t be shocked. But then going to Auburn will be tough.

9 wins is doable by 7-8 is more likely.

I think we will lose THREE of the following games: Miami, @Auburn, UGA, State, and bama. I think we will win the rest of our games.

9-3.

2019 will tell the tale for EdO.

If you think the basis for the season is comparing it to 2014, then you forgot to add that in 2014 we had the most touted freshman running back in my lifetime, probably ever at LSU, being added to a lineup in Leonard Fournette and the #20 athlete, Darrell Williams, at running back to a backfield that already included Terrence Magee and Kenny Hilliard.

Not sure if that should make us feel better or worse but it gives me pause.

i was responding to a poster who said he couldn't see how we won't win 10 games.

I hope we win all of them, but it's absurd to not see ANY reason why we win less than 10. There's plenty of uncertainty this year.

I think with my head, not my heart.

Idiot. Look in the backfield dumbass. Who takes the pressure off of the QB? There isn’t a Collins on that line.
Leave with your bullshite.

I guess if there's a silver lining in the cluster frick that has been our athletic department the last few years at least I no longer expect to lose a game due to clock management

I always thought 10 wins was the floor. Since when did a 8 or 9 wins season become OK with LSU fans. This programs attitude has really deteriorated. It's a tough schedule but 11 wins is within reach if everything breaks right for us.
