Recruiting coordinator doesn't choose who gets recruited.
However it happened or who is to blame. Half the offensive line personnel were processed or quit. I don't know if they just whiffed on talent or what but all that's on the roster is guards. There's not a true tackle on the team.

They have input, and at the very least should have detailed information on who has been recruited, including weaknesses and strengths.

A&M and FSU were not rebuilding jobs either.
A&M is running a completely different offense.
And to repeat. No one is complaining about 8-2.

I do not believe any real Tiger fan is complaining about being 8-2 this year. I believe that the real frustration is centered around how the team has underachieved and yet they are still 8-2. We lost the games nearly the same way which is the other teams defensive line created havoc on our offensive line causing our offense to be stagnant and predictable. This has been the same story since 2008, with the exception of 2013 when we had Zach Mettenberger with two 1 thousand yard receivers (OBJ,Landry) and a 1 thousand yard running back.

If you believe LSU had a QB on the roster that we could have won 8 games with much less have a shot at 10 then you are delusional. Narcisse was terrible. MCmillan just is not SEC caliber, Brennan wasn"t ready. These are facts. So yes Joe zBurrow was a great find by the staff. Believe in fairy tales if you want but this coaching staff deserves a Hell of a lot more credit yhan you or others like you think.

Well 9-1 would be better
And I guess 10-0 is unreachable ever again

Saban lost 3 games every year he was here except for one.

Well, to be fair... We are whining because we were blanked by UA...and our offense is suspect...and our oline is like a damn sieve...
That’s why.
That’s why.

If anything the team has overachieved. How anyone could look at this season and see underachievement is baffling.

Clemson and uga both have struggled as well
It’s bama and everybody else

It’s like some of you have learned nothing from Saban while he was here.
8-2 is not in and of itself an indicator or success.
Doing things the right way yields a byproduct of wins and championships.
You start by doing things right. The win isn’t the focus. Execution is the focus. From that execution comes the win. In this regard, a poorly-executed win is not a good thing. 8-2 with a really bad offense is not good enough. Not because we don’t have enough wins, but because we have a bad offense.
Read his book.

If anyone had told you at the start of the season that we’d be 8-2 at this point...would you have taken it? HELL YES!
First of all, "Hell Yeah" would not be my preseason reaction to 8-2. In fact, my reaction to 11-2 would have been, "OK, that's a step in the right direction." BTW, that is a step we have still not taken.
Most people would have taken an 8-2 record at this point, because they were under the mistaken impression that we played an especially tough schedule. Because of my advanced age, I knew our schedule was no tougher than it typically is - that several of these "top 10" teams were going to be average.
The other consideration that makes 8-2 worse than it appears is that one of those two was a 29-0 arse-whipping that showed beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are making zero progress in closing the gap against Bama.
But still, if Orgeron can beat A&M and the bowl opponent, and go 11-2, I'll be content and willing to support a one year extension of his contract.

The head coach specifically said we'd be competing for championships this year. Now its a rebuilding year?
Add it to a long list of lies.

I am not believing in any fairy tale, friend. I watched an LSU team start a year 13-0 with Jarret Lee and Jordan Jefferson at QB. You think those guys were the sole, or even main reason why we were 13-0?
I didn't say they were going to do better this year with any of the other QB's who were on the roster. Conveniently, you pretend as though I did. I very clearly said that it says a lot about this staff that they couldn't develop someone better, or at least as good as Burrow, in house. Because he hasn't been all that good. He's tough, he makes some nice runs... But he's a below average QB.
Burrow wanted out of Ohio State. Our competition to get him here, if memory serves me right, was Cincinnati.
So Orgeron waved his magic wand, and pried Burrow away from that team? What was that about fairy tales?

If this is a rebuilding year, will you be a man and set the goal of playoffs next year? I mean we should be rebuilt by December 2019 right?

Of course. I can have 2 thoughts at the same time, it is possible to both enjoy the current season and have concerns about the overall direction of the program

It’s not the 8-2 record that has people concerned. It’s the poor play by the offense. It’s the same shite we’ve seen for the past 10 years. The offense has regressed this season. LSU is paying Les Miles millions to sit at home and he would have the same results. If you don’t see a problem with all of this, and there is more, you are delusional.

We have have virtually no offense since 2008. Let that sink in for a while.
