And nobody to account for the QB. Incredible scheming, Mr. Baker

Linebackers? We don’t need no stinking linebackers!!!!
WTF was that defense?

Even if they didnt qb sneak, we have our worst player in coverage (Keys) lined up against their best offensive weapon in the TE, with the middle of the field completely open.

Of all the times to run man coverage that wasn’t one of them.

So much was bad about that play. Cover 2 man when they’re on the 3 is a strange choice. It could have worked if they’d kept a RB or TE in. Still, cover 2 man there is strange.
The moment they sifted to 5 wide Dottery and the safeties needed to be talking and shifting to a cover 0 with a hard press at the line and the linebackers either mugging or playing straight up against the QB run. Instead, no one talked and they just shifted out with their man.
Really, really bad defense all around.

Looked more like a birth canal that delivered baby Minchey.

Just watched it again is slow motion. LSU was outschemed making at least two our players might as well not have been on the field. Dottery did nothing and should have been in the middle of the field. On top of that, both of our DT's slanted their rush to the outside shoulder of the Olinemen, making the hole the biggest I have witnessed from the 2 yd line in football history.
Baker was totally outschemed by a coach that LSU couldn't wait to fire.
LSU has run to 'clever' different plays this year, this game, and scored on both. We run too many ridiculous plays that never have a chance.
Final comment, Ky got every benefit of the doubt the entire game, with the final one being the supposed TO called before the motion penalty, In my opinion, watching the totality of the game, LSU get Sankeyed, just as I suspected we would this year. The non call on the block in the back on 97 by 5 on the punt return was the most blatant non call of them all. Ref was watching it the entire time. Probably the difference in the game winner.

pure insanity
both safeties shoulda been on the LOS
1 as a spy
1 as a rusher
woulda had a 5 on 5 rush. or rush both
woulda been 6 on 5 rush. with no spy.

Hell, even I knew he was gonna run the damn ball.

When Keys slid out to the left he was supposed to audible the DE's to stunt. They should have looped inside that would have killed any draw or run inside but again not sure if Keys is allowed to Audible. Somebody should have known that though. You can't rush straight lanes when you have no LB's in the middle of the field.

Our while upper deck section yelled draw. Players on the field too stupid to know football.

This is so bad it’s practically a fireable offense to line them up in this scheme with no adjustments made.
Absolutely laughable. I could have walked this in. There’s no excuse for this presnap lineup. I thought the Leavitt jump-fumble wasn’t being talked about enough, but with this bozo scheme and this bozo call, I can see why…

Blake Baker for President ??

This isn't said with the benefit of hindsight. The second UK shifted to that formation it was obvious the QB draw was coming. I even said it to the guy next to me "they are about to run the QB right up the middle". Spreading things out that much on the 2 yard line is a dead giveaway. Yet, LSU's LBs apparently had zero clue it was about to happen.

It’s inexcusable that nobody figured it out. There’s so much to blame after last night.
If there’s any somewhat hopeful side, it’s that we had all those things go wrong yet were so close to winning. Still utterly disappointing

Players should have been coached better to know to adjust. And this was right after a Kentucky time out, so Baker had time to tell them what to do if they came out in same formula they originally lined up in, or if they split everybody out wide like they did, or did something in between. Had time to go over a few different possibilities.
But it also would have been nice to have another timeout after everybody saw we were not prepared for that. We wasted one or 2 that we didn’t need to earlier on offense.
