Blake Baker sucks he pad stats by blitzing every play against trash offenses so statistically we look better than we are but when we play good offenses he gets out schemed everytime

Couple that with the DTs both stunting on outside rushes. Lets call this the Moses Play.

I actually saw this happen several yrs ago with Dak and Miss State. The RB motioned out right and the MLB went with him. The only guy between him and the goal line was the NT. Dak took it about 70 up the gut untouched for the TD.

I would have played 6 in the box with an "odd front" or a 3-3 and locked on press walk up man right before snap with inside dbs wrong arm'n. No way im letting that fricking qb walk in...he would had to run for his life and throw the ball somewhere. When I saw how we lined up, i told my bud, the qb is gonna fake pass and run straight up the middle. Smdh

That’s the worst part. This isn’t some exotic scheme or strange look.

Every team in the country has a QB draw play out of 5 wide that they will check to or run in that situation if the defense does what LSU did. It’s a really simple concept. You motion the back out of the backfield and if a linebacker follows him you know, 100% without a doubt, that they’re in man. If they don’t have another linebacker still in the middle, there’s no spy and you’ve already won because you have 5 yo block 4 and no one accounting for the QB.

ETA: If Kiffin had called this play he would have had his hands up signaling a TD before they even snapped it.

Obviously the “every team” is hyperbole. Still, it’s a very common look and play.

3rd defender on bottom was suppoed to shift to center when motion at the top moved 3rd reciver outside.

Baker is a moron for not being prepared for a simple spread of 5 wide
