Miles' needs to get a handle on these players. Everyone deserves a second chance, but if it happens again (and depending on the severity), they may need the Eric Smith treatment.
I am surprised that I agree with this statement.

Not an LSU fan, but I can't wait for all this to be sorted out and done with. I'm really sick of hearing about it.

Sad day for LSU football
Cue the "it's only a bar fight" morons.
Yeah, sad times, Doc. The DA could make a case right now, but are just accumulating more evidence to strengthen the case. Smart move, as nobody wants another Casey Anthony failure. Nathan Fisher's defense will be destroyed if he doesn't act quick to either distance himself or cop a plea.

involvment... (Posted on 8/25/11 at 12:21 p.m. to chipd)

Actually, the title to this thread is wrong. The woman in question is not a 3rd party witness. She gave her testimony to a RESPONDING officer. This means she gave her testimony at the scene of the fight. Sgt Stone said yesterday that they did not yet have any 3rd party witnesses. This is not new information. She was obviously connected to the injured participants in some matter. The fact that we are hearing about her statement now...does not make it new.
/She described the guy as an "unknown white male" so she was "obviously connected".
/
The police said W/M, she actually uses the names and they were edited from the report. Besides, the police said Tuesday that they did not have a 3rd party witness. Obviously they determined she was not a 3rd party.

have no horse in this race but i have a friend who was in a car accident. he broke a couple vertebrae in his neck and he stayed 1 hour 20 min in the hospital then was released to go home.
I have a hard time believing this also. I head trauma to the head in a bar incident. I was waiting at olol for 45 minutes bleeding before i was called to the back. if all 4 went, there is no way they were all looked at at the same time.
they cleaned up my injuries and gave me a tetanus shot. Then i got an Mri to make sure there was no serious damage.
If they concluded the vertebrae was broken, they spent more than an hour there. I checked in at about 210 am and left after 7 am. And this was for minor injuries that ended up not even resulting in stitches. But since the injuries were to the face they took it very seriously.
Friend of mine got hit by a car crossing nicholson. Went to the hospital, spent more time than these guys and had minor injuries. Most of my trips to olol after 2am takes hours.

You are the fricking moron. The prosecution lost its case against Casey Anthony's mother because it overreached on the charges. As it relates to JJ, the DA has to make sure that whatever charges are brought, can easily be backed up with evidence. Thus, the search of Jefferson's apartment. The DA has enough to press charges NOW, they are just compiling more evidence to make it airtight so that the perp doesn't get off, a la the Casey Anthony trial. DA's are judged on their prosecution rate.

Not a serious injury. I'm getting tired of this statement. It's about as serious as a cracked rib. Some stiffness and soreness but a huge majority of the time they require no medical attention whatsoever.
just b/c they cant put a cast on it doesnt mean it's not serious!....and any injury to the spine is most definately serious!!!

Take a look at the bottom of the article. I find it a little hard to believe a false witness planted by Lowery would turn around and redact her statements. Won't get much done like that.
