I know exactly what you mean, CDawson.
Every home game, the Commies are everywhere, trying to force you in re-education camps, asking you to accept Lenin or Mao tatoos and posting "Workers Unite!" placards everywhere.

I get it. I didn't miss a home game from 1985 until the Ole Miss game last December. That's the first LSU home game I watched on TV and wasn't in Tiger Stadium since I was 7 years old.
The older I get, the less I want to deal with hordes of people, traffic and taking up a significant chunk of my weekend to go to see the game in person.
I've made every home game this year, but I'm having doubts about some of the other games this month. I'd rather just play golf, come home and eat and drink something decent while watching the game on TV.

There are others like you.
The game day experience is not what it was. Everything from tailgating to inside the stadium - It’s all corporate…just about getting the dollar.

Over the past decade it has increasingly become an absolute chore to attend LSU home games. Stories like yours (and particularly your son's) are a serious long-term threat to the athletic department, but I don't think they've noticed or care.

Smart move.
I hope everyone does this.

I have 3 seats that have been with my family for 50 years. I was raised going to the games all throughout my childhood. My dad and I would travel from Dallas to watch during the Hallman years. Ten years ago I would tailgate all day for every home. Now, I have been to 2 games in the last 4 seasons.
In past years I have always been able to sell the tickets to recoup the expense of the tickets. This year has been a struggle. I am ready to let go of them but I the only reason why I renew is because of my father. It would break his heart if I didn't.

Think you'll regret it once they announce the new coach?
Gonna be some great home games between '22-'24

I've had mine for 20 years. Considered it, but my kids are 8 and 6, and it seems like they enjoy going to games. It's still magical to them. Once they become disinterested, i'll let them go. 2019 did a lot of things for my fandom, one of which was make it to where I know i'll never see a better product on that field...so I may as well watch it at home.

It's simple. You're not a young man anymore. It's tiring and you don't want to deal with it.

Football.......it's is a young man's game.

Another HD Tiger is born. After 30+ years doing the deed I divested myself late in Les’s tenure for obvious reasons. Then hooked up with a buddy with a parking pass in Lot 101 where we have entertained and fed the masses ever since. It’s easy to stop coming to stadium but I missed the tailgating and excitement of big games. I assume I will go until I can’t walk up the ramps.

I just want to hold on to them until I can take my smallest one to a game, then, we may decide to turn them loose.

I wonder how many of these threads we would be having if Alleva never started charging for parking
