Also said if... If LSU beats Bama... Daniels MIGHT be in discussion for Heisman Frontrunner.

I just hope that the 2 week hiatus has given House time to settle the D down and get everyone on the right page with assignments. If we can at least limit mental mistakes that's a huge step forward.

They played two terrible offenses. If anything all of LSUs inefficiencies were covered up.

I really think LSU has the line advantage on both sides of the ball this year which is the first time I can say that in over ten years.

It will definitely be strength vs strength (our o-line vs their d-line) and weakness vs weakness (our d-line vs their o-line).

I think our o-line will hold up well, but our d-line without Wingo could get destroyed even with Bama’s unit underperforming. Maason would have to make a huge jump from where he’s been so far this season.

If Bama doesn’t cover that means LSU wins the game IMO.

I agree . Looking at both teams to this point . LSU is a lot bigger underdog than +3 I’d take it at 7.5

This has NOTHING to do with his prediction of LSU/bama, but I really enjoy listening to Josh Pate’s show and his clips. Guy does his homework and usually has a good grasp of what’s going on throughout the world of CFB

If you’ve never checked out his material, I highly recommend doing so

Pate has been heavy on Bama all year. I believe he picked them to win the Natty.

Yeah early before the season said they would go back to Bama ball and run it down everyone’s throat so he has been proven wrong before.

Going to need more than just Womack to have a breakout game.

Need the same from Sage Ryan and from a couple of the Freshman. Need Maason Smith to have his breakout game as well.

I'm of the belief this will either be a close game or Bama wins in a blowout. No in between.

With Matt House still in the booth, I'm thinking Bama blows us out. No way Saban and his defense won't have some sort of plan that will force us to punt 2-3 times. Barring a mistake by Bama's offense, I doubt they punt.

I have no idea what to expect from this defense except disappointment.

The run defense is what I’m more worried about. But it would be interesting to know their stats against the run once Pete go here and they changed up a lot of things on the defensive line.

He looked pretty sick in that video.
I think the meds are getting to him.

Take the stats from the last three games and see what they show.

LSU stepped up in the second half vs Missouri no doubt about it.

But that combined with the defense playing well vs auburn and army doesn’t exactly mean it’s been greatly improved, it very well may be, but it also very well may not be.

I am hoping to be very very wrong but I just don't have faith that LSU can do enough defensively to get Bama off the field on 3rd and 4th downs.

So, you're thinking Bama will score every time they have possession, and their defense will make stops often? That's literally something they've struggled with all season. Weird take..

It could happen. We could also come up with a herculean effort on D and hammer them. We'll see tomorrow.

yep, they are so elite that they beat Arkansas by 3 points and A&M by 6. LSU will be fine.

Missouri, gave up nearly 40 to them

The 2nd half of the Mizzou game was actually the best the defense has been against a team with a pulse on offense all season. Their last scoring drive sucked, but they did a solid job leading up to that and then closing out after re-taking the lead.

I think we have seen improvement in the front 7, and that’s where our chance to win this game lies. Especially against their OL, which has had some notable struggles this season.

One more thing to consider- the best LSU played all last season by far was coming out of the bye week vs Bama. Sure it was at home, but the staff made adjustments and had freshmen like Perkins and Taylor ready to make big contributions. I look for some similar improvement tomorrow. We just don’t know if that will be enough as much as our defense has struggled and as young as the secondary is.
