Josh Pate forgot to add something to his analysis, LSU always plays the Gumps better in Tuscalusah.

Good guys.

And the over.

When has Steele ever had a good gameplan for a game?

Bama offense is going to shred our defense. We have to score with them to keep it close.

Is there a reason why he is always wearing the same white t-shirt?

Yes, Steele was the defensive coordinator for Auburn in 2019. LSU moved the ball the entire game (over 500 yards, I believe), but bogged down close to the end zone, resulting in field goals instead of touchdowns. It caused Joe Brady to revamp the red zone offense, and the Tigers were lethal in close after that.

Hopefully the LSU offensive staff took a close look at that game during the last couple of weeks.

Everybody is looking at the defense wrong. Take the stats from the last three games and see what they show. LSU's defense has improved dramatically from the first half of the season since new coaches have come on board.LSU wins by 14.

I think we just need a tip of the ball one or two times to go our way just like 2019

Yeah that's just his thing. I guess part of his Mr. Clean bald head approach.

LSU has one of the best offenses in the country. Bama can line up with anyone in the country.
quote:

-Expects Milroe to be more of a runner. Bama could score 50 points in this game and that's not the type of team that they are this year.

quote:

Have to attack Milroe but LSU isn't equipped enough to do that. 99th in sacks. -Have to use your personnel different than you have before. Milroe can pick you apart. LSU doesn't have the defense that A&M does.

So bama will do what they haven’t done all season on offense but will keep doing what they have been doing on defense while LSU won’t do what they have done all year on offense and can’t change who they are on defense.

Seems convenient.

He made it sound like Bama's defense has the better chance of getting more stops against LSU's offense than LSU's defense of getting stops against Bama's offense was all that I heard.

But to me it's just about who forces the most turnovers.

If over 500 yds is considered giving the offense fits then I’ll take that lol

I am worried that some of us are going to be "reminded" how bad our defense is this game after basically having three weeks off against two horrific offenses.

I have a feeling that we will all be screaming at TV's every time that they're on the field

They have shredded no one anyone all season whereas we have shredded everyone yet somehow we need to keep up with them?

Wasn't Kevin Steele Auburns DC during 2019? He was the first one to use the specific formation that gave that offense fits.

IIRC he recognized that we pretty much only had one running play installed which was inside zone with Clyde. He played his guys with a tite front and devastated the interior of the OL.

Took Brady far too long to adjust. But they eventually got the run game going on the outside and outflanked Auburn’s defense enough to win.

This in a nutshell is the game. Can our D actually step up and get more stops then AL can. We won’t score 50 on Bama, but we CAN score 30+.

Army, 109th ranked offense in the country
Auburn, 98th ranked offense in the country,
Missouri, gave up nearly 40 to them

The defense may or may not be better, but to get this phrase

improved dramatically

from the above evidence, is just asking to be proven wrong
