LSU vs Alabama - Preview & Prediction (Late Kick Cut)

Pate believes that Alabama wins and covers the three.

Fanduel line Alabama -3 O/U 61.5

LSU +140 Bama -165

-Bama 9th in pass plays of 40+ yards

-LSU defense 92nd in those plays allowed.

-LSU is very vulnerable in the secondary

-LSU is 88th in run defense

-Expects Milroe to be more of a runner. Bama could score 50 points in this game and that's not the type of team that they are this year.

-What does LSU do on defense? Vegas says that these are evenly matched teams.

-Have to attack Milroe but LSU isn't equipped enough to do that. 99th in sacks.

-Have to use your personnel different than you have before. Milroe can pick you apart. LSU doesn't have the defense that A&M does.

-Force fumbles and tipped balls to create opportunities.

-LSU has one of the best offenses in the country. Bama can line up with anyone in the country.

-Level of play from the winner that will be above what we have seen this year. Whoever wins this game is a playoff contender.

-If LSU wins this game Jayden Daniels is your Heisman front runner.

-Kevin Steele will have a great gameplan for this game.

-If LSU wins they become the most fascinating team in the country.

Downvote away but I agree. I am hoping to be very very wrong but I just don't have faith that LSU can do enough defensively to get Bama off the field on 3rd and 4th downs.

I want to see things I havent seen all season from guys the coaching staff have not believed were good enough to do those things all season but I don't have confidence it it will happen.

We can’t argue with that if we are being honest. If we were to beat Bama it would be because our front 7 really stepped up and played to its potential. That potential isn’t top 10 in the country but it could be top 25. Their Oline is their weakness and we could exploit that if our guys get their technique down.

I really think LSU has the line advantage on both sides of the ball this year which is the first time I can say that in over ten years.

Those are some depressing defensive numbers. I think someone posted that LSU has the worst stop rate of all D1 teams.

I just hope that the 2 week hiatus has given House time to settle the D down and get everyone on the right page with assignments. If we can at least limit mental mistakes that's a huge step forward.

I think what makes this game fun is the fact that I don’t have high expectations but the win could still happen

thanks for this. I was just about to listen to Late Kick. I'm opting for the LSU is going to win echo chamber this week. No point in being reasonable as far as I see it.

Everyone talking about our defensive struggles… I think the story of the game will be Saban slowing down our offense. If any coach in college football can do it he will

He is not always right, but I have to agree. I hope LSU does not get blown out because the defense just rolls over.

Not too sure where that one came from but seems like maybe Josh was hinting he does well in big games for them?

Kelly has to play him to allow him to have a breakout game

Wasn't Kevin Steele Auburns DC during 2019? He was the first one to use the specific formation that gave that offense fits.

Granted, he had an ELITE DL which allowed them to run that coverage.

That he was. Bama has some elite lineman as well.

If our defensive line can control the line of scrimmage I like our chances.
