So USC starting the season against us the same year they move to Big 10. Thoughts on USC buying out of the game to host a premier Big 10 school first week.

Interesting note UCLA is suppose to return the trip to Baton Rouge same year. I would bet one team buys us out.

Sorry if Germans….

UCLA doesn’t have to buy out because most contracts include a conference realignment clause that void the deal. The USC game though, since it’s a neutral site game scheduled with Vegas, will probably still happen.

i believe the Big Ten requires their members to play at least 1 power 5 team OOC per year.

and i would think the B1G would absolutely push to keep that USC/LSU game in Vegas as scheduled.

No Big 10 school is going to be a bigger game week one than LSU in Vegas.

IF, the LSU athletic departments 'contract negotiating team' is just as 'competent' as in the recent past.....we'll NOT be seeing EITHER of these games !

as a whole? yeah.

they are currently scheduled to play USM that week.
which of those 2 games do you think will draw the most national attention? Especially if Riley has them even remotely decent between now and then.

The TV networks want both of those games to happen and will pay accordingly.

Since they're moving to the SEC, is UT going to opt-out of their home-home with Ohio St in 2025/26? What about Ole Miss home-home series with USC in 25/26? Yall must be bored

This is dumb. Alabama is a bigger draw ratings wise than Florida St, but that doesn't mean we schedule our toughest in conference opponent for week 1

Why wouldn’t the big 10 want the usc game in Vegas to happen? What better way for the Big 10 to announce their new addition to the world than having them play another powerhouse in primetime?

I don’t see USC playing 9 Big Ten opponents, Notre Dame, and LSU at a neutral site game.

I think you're overrating the big10... That's not the hard of a grind football wise. Maybe traveling? Idk

The post I replied to said there isn’t a big ten game they could schedule that’s bigger than lsu and that is false

And I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the big ten started their new era with a gigantic game…like usc-Ohio state.

They’re in the conference. They don’t get to make their own conference schedule.

Cool. Let's play two Big Ten teams the same season.

This sort of scenario happened back in 1984, when the Tigers scheduled two Pac-10 teams (Arizona and S. Cal) back-to-back.
