Because the alternative at lsu has been playing butler and elon

The alternative would be to play ULL and Texas State in the midweek and go to Dallas instead of Houston.

Should replace Vandy with another TX team and make it LA vs. TX.

They are decent-to-sometimes-good mid-major programs. Regardless, it's dumb that we're playing ULL in Texas.

Who will our East opponents be next season? Do we play Florida?

We didn't play Florida, Vandy, or Mizzou in the regular season, so I'd imagine those will be 3 of them. The 4th will be a repeat opponent, but no idea who.

I hear we're going to Frisco, TX the next year. I went to Round Rock this year and plan to go to Frisco. Outskirts of Dallas should be great for recruiting. I recommend the trip if you can make it. I'm pretty sure it will be at Dr. Pepper Field which I believe is a AAA park.

I’m guessing the tournament is no longer affiliated with Shriners

Wish we could swap them for Vandy

Why? We already have a 3 game series against Vandy next year.

Texas State has an underrated ballpark for a mid-level program. It doesn't come close to any of the SEC venues, but it's a really chill enviroment with a decent sized crowd. They have a premium caboose suite out in right field, for whatever that is worth.

Ummm...why would a team that beat LSU last year be not good competition for pretty much a preseason exhibition the next season? UL has always had a good baseball program and regularly beats LSU in midweek games
