What is even the point of high school recruiting?

Why we should all stop following recruiting. Guys do not commit to schools for their college careers. They commit to schools that will rent them for a year or two and move on to chase money.

2023 recruiting class has to be backfilled with transfers at a minimum. Hopefully 2024 and beyond aren't that bad going forward.

and you label yourself as a program who is going to develop the roster via high school recruiting

The 2023 class should be the cornerstone of your roster in 2025, and instead, it will give you just a few starters.

And some of you will still blame the 39 players excuse

Idk but it's how our head coach said he plans on building the team.

Yeah, BK should close the portal! He should magically convince players to forego more money elsewhere!

It’s pretty brutal when guys transfer when they’re buried on the depth chart after one year. Think of all the guys historically who didn’t start to produce until their third or fourth year in the program.

You’re going to be forced to use the portal just to build depth because you can’t keep anyone to ride the bench 2-3 years anymore.

Also seeing the effects of Polian and his dumb national recruiting approach. Focus has to be LA, TX and MS.

I honestly hope for his sake that he was on the golf course while we were assembling whatever the frick that class was. it's a program-destroying type of class with that many busts. it's why we are on a year one rebuild in year three and in college football with that kind of salary that's a lost decade

After the Florida game I went back and looked at who he was responsible for recruiting himself since he got here and it’s pretty sad the lack of development that has occurred and how we seemingly haven’t improved anywhere. I mean we were still trotting out Sage Ryan and Major Burns this year! W t f

It's crazy where we could be as a program had he not hired that mickey mouse defensive staff. we should have won the playoff last season and we would have absolutely held up this class much better than we have.

the lack of attention to detail around this program is CRAZY for what we pay Brian Kelly. It's just a fact this dude is hands-off and we hired him to actually organize the mess orgeron left.

But idk if Frank Wilson was the architect of that 2023 class maybe Uncle Frank is a bit washed up in this era.
