Avenge the Florida and A&M losses. Beat Auburn. Finish 2nd the west. Make a NY6 bowl. Win 10 plus games. Same as it’s always been.
I would like to see the offense finish top 25 in total offense this year. I think we have a good shot at making some strides with the offense.

It’s very hard to win 11 games playing in the SEC unless you are Bama and it’s not easy for them as well...... having said that I see zero reason we shouldn’t be undefeated when play Bama.

The expectations are the same every year. The season will be a failure if we can’t beat Alabama because that is the only thing that matters. If we can beat Bama, we can beat anybody, otherwise we’ll lose 2-3 games once again including Bama and we’ll have to settle for being a program that goes 9-3 or 10-2 every year.
The goal is to get the offense improved and good enough to be able to beat Alabama’s nasty defense.

For the season to be a success they have to go 12 - 1 with their only loss @ Bama and with a NY6 Bowl victory.....or else make the Play-offs under some scenario.
A loss to any team besides Bama during the regular season will be a failure on the year.....unless they are still able to make the Play-offs despite that loss.
Making the Play-offs, under any scenario, would be a clearly successful season. Getting a play-off spot, despite a loss to Bama and no SEC Championship game appearance, would be some extreme gravy. It could happen at 11 - 1....but you can't hold your breath for that.
Making the SEC Championship game but not the Play-offs would also be considered as unsuccessful season in my book if they were not then undefeated going into the SEC Championship game. It would mean that most likely they had beat Bama but had then lost to some other team during the regular season.....in addition to losing to the SEC East Champs. I don't think that beating Bama in and of itself would provide enough cache to overcome the other two losses and get them a play-off spot.
Man, that is a high bar that I have set.....but this is THE season.

That is not the point of this thread. Georgia might reasonably expect that in the East.
I stated my expectations for LSU. Finishing the season 10 - 2 would be a push.

10.5 wins is the bar this year. 10 wins will be a mild dissappointment unless LSU somehow wins the West or sneaks into the playoff. 11 wins will be a mild overachievement. 11+ wins and an SEC title or playoff berth would mean a truly sucessful season.
