11-1 is looking like the floor to me. I expect to beat all but one team in the regular season.

Depending on how well we implement this new Offense we could even best Bama.

will lose my shite if the WHOLE offense looks to the sideline while playing Georgia Southern..... That would be HORRIBLE............

I have never understood why.
Nfl teams do it. They are looking for an audible. They arent looking in confusion.

If they're gonna go as fast as they say that they want to, they won't have time to look to the sideline. Obviously they can get to the line fast, but from what I understand they want to run the plays fast.

I have always seen a player come into the game and brought the next play... Which LSU has done forever.... BUT when that happens and they STILL look to the sideline with a young QB, that shows a lack of trust in what you are trying to do.... I have said that LSU stopped doing this after Miles was let go during the 2016 season and the offense looked much more smoother........... Now IF they start doing that again this year I will really be disappointed in what is going on at LSU..............

I expect to be undefeated when go to Tuscaloosa. @ Texas won't be easy, but we should be the more complete team. Florida, even though we're at home, then @ Miss St, then back home against Auburn is going to be a grind. But, we have the ammo and drive to push through that stretch. After Bama, win or lose, we run the table.

12-0 ceiling, 10-2 floor.

We have to stay healthy.

The staff needs to recruit true tackles. It’s a major issue. Contrary to many on here, you CAN in fact scheme to help negate this. I hope Brady is everything everyone is saying he is.

If the OL still struggles this year, I think it would be time to start looking for a new OL coach. The guys on that OL aren’t great but they’re certainly not bad enough to where an FCS school should push them around. I don’t know if it’s the S&C or technique that’s lacking. The offensive staff should have been able to scheme better. Interior will be solid. Just got to hope some guys step up and play decent at T

I agree with you bro

However, in my opinion, 2 losses isn’t a bad season. IDGAF who we have on the roster.. a two loss season is damn strong in the sec

I know that’s an unpopular opinion, buttfrick it

we had as much talent as any team in cfb not named bama

This is just bullshite. LOL. Where? TE? Miles left us with major needs at several positions. Talent or not, you have to spread it out to all positions. not just have all your talent at the skill positions.

You can disagree until the season is complete, and say whatever you want. Doesn't change what actually is said by the coaches OR what the roster looks like.

Nope. I completely agree. A 10 win regular season is a success. I disagree with this championship or bust mentality every year.

I guess the question would then be, how many of those seasons can you have in a row with no hardware to show and get away with it?

No one that gets paid to evaluate talent agrees with you. I can link to every power ranking for cfb and no one has lsu outside their top 10.

What spots did miles leave bad off?

Please say oline so i can show you the 3 all sec oline he left and more nfl dragted oline on the 2016 roster than Clemson has had since 2008.

You mean the coach that said LSU was a playoff team and then lost to troy?

Its not my opinion that the 2017 roster had the 2nd most nfl draft picks. Its a fact. No amount of O fawning will change that fact.

The season will not be a failure if we don’t the playoffs. It will be a disappointment, but with the rugged schedule contrary to what is being written on this board, we have to beat Texas, Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, and Alabama / all teams that are expecting similar success as are we. O is building the program to greatness. The Joe B’s and OL play are the keys to the season.

Talk about moving goal posts...this is BS. Last year we were told that it was going to be a tuff schedule but next year (this year) will be much more easier and will be the year.

We play a tough schedule every year. We've always played a tough schedule. The schedule should be a non issue.

Show me the lack of talent on the lines.

Thats 3 all sec oline.
More nfl drafted olinemen than Clemson has had in almost a decade.
A rimington award finalist at center.

A dline littered with 4 and 5 star talent.

Next youre tell me lsu had more kickers than linebackers. Thats another bullshite regurgitated rant myth that just won't die.
The myth that o was left with a lack of talent isnt backed up by the opinions of people that get paid to evaluate talent or the nfl draft.

Nah, every year in the SEC West is a grind, plus playing Texas. It's not as tough as last year but it's still formidable

However we should have gone 11-2 last year. I see no reason why that's not the absolute floor this year.

No ones getting fired at 11-2.

Lets all be honest. There are no more goalposts at lsu.

If miles were the coach for the 2017 and 2018 season and had the exact same offensive production and win/loss record, 90% of this board would justly want him gone.
Can you imagine if Miles lost to a midmajor for homecoming? He was bashed for not winning sec road games by enough points.

But O is the coach and if you want more success at lsu, then you hate the coach and want lsu to fail.

Fully expect another 8-4/9-3 season pending the result of the bowl game. I will believe the hype when I see it on the field.
