10-2, maybe 11-1

Anything less is a severe disappointment.

Would you take 10-2 with a win over Bama and a NY6 bowl
or
Would take 11-1 with a loss to Bama and a playoff appearance

Anyone who actually struggles with this is an idiot

Considering the schedule and what we have returning, the opportunity to make the playoff is about as good as it gets for LSU. Anything less will be a sign that this program is not progressing IMO.

We can only hope, eh?

If O is 3.5 years into his tenure and STILL can't field a competent offense or offensive line? Yes, we can only hope.

I agree.

You never like to set such lofty EXPECTATIONS. But I think we can legitimately ask "if not now, then when?"

LSU returns a ton of starters/production on both sides of the ball

They have a returning starter at QB who is a 5th year Senior

Other than two tough road trips, the schedule (although never easy) is very favorable. Hell, there's even two bye weeks this season.

Even though recruiting seems to be going well now, you are likely to lose a ton of experience/production after this year. THIS is the season to put it all together.

I think we've built things up to this year for a while, schedule sets up pretty nicely, we can get an early marquee OOC win; UF, AU, A&M all at home. Trade UGA for Vandy.

10-2 has to be the minimum for this team, 11-1 the target (realistic target). 9-3 would be a bit disappointing.

We also have to see if we are gonna have a true pass rush again. I do like that most of our tough games aside from Bama, and Texas are at home. I’m like a lot on this board and think 11-1/10-2 would be a success. I’d really like to beat bama. I’m tired of losing to them.

That math doesn't work for me. I guess you're counting interim and next year?

But if we lose three I certainly think that needs to be in the conversation.
