I think it's kind of funny when some people see one game against a bad defense and forget about everything else.

Remember when E killed it against Missouri and Southern Miss? Or when Brandon Harris was amazing against New Mexico State? Or when we put up 500+ yards against UCF?

Do you know that 11.5 percent of our first downs came from penalties? Vandy was the only other team to crack 10 percent and they barely did.
We were last or close to last in several critical stats. We did well on turnovers and our opponents got penalized out the butt. That kept a lot of games alive/in reach.

But.. our offense was not good.. it was bad. 12 rushing yards against Bama. 12. A combined 0-7 in red zone TDS against Bama and UCF. Lots of red flags..

However.. we haven't had a QB pass for 4+ TDS twice in a season since at least 2009. Soooooo.. there's that.

everyone knows we struggled on offense this year and everyone knows why.

the damn OL HAS GOT TO BE FIXED

Be careful. You'll be labeled as a player basher.

Nick Brossette had a good interview on Off the Bench yesterday. He said that it starts up front. I still think Dare Rosenthal steps up to the left tackle position and Charles moves to the right or maybe Wire steps up. Deculus moves inside. Either way the depth issues will have been solved going into next season.

Plug in the numbers using the points scored at the end of regulation against Aggie and see where that scoring average drops to. And we played a couple of HS teams.

I mean it May have been better than 2015 and 2014 but is just barely scraping by those offenses really where we want to be?

Sadly, some people don't see a problem with it.

What’s was our PPG in SEC play excluding OT play in the A&M game? OT points is not a true way of measuring success in offense considering where the offense begins and the fact that defenses are pretty much useless at that point due to exhaustion.

He's right. We got the 3rd down conversions when it matters almost every time

The kicker set the school record for most FG’s made in a season. That’s in 125 seasons of football.

Was his skill important? Absolutely.

Do kickers get that many reps when the offense is “getting the 3rd down conversions when it matters almost every time”?

Absolutely not.

We should be grateful that LSU had a great kicker, but to think that the offense was getting crucial conversions when it had to rely that heavily on its kicker is delusional.

How many tds you score is the measure of a great offense. Not how many fgs.

I don't think that anyone would argue that LSU had a great offense. It was a work in progress and still is. The good news is they have this offseason to finally get all the pieces in place.

And what happens if the offense does not show a ton of improvement next season?

Let's first define what enough improvement is.

Is it just being slightly higher ranked in most categories?

Is it ranking in the top half of the nation?

Is it ranking in the top 30?

And what happens if this goal isn't met?

Do you make more excuses for the coaches, and say the have next off-season to improve?

Does Ensminger get fired?

Does O get fired?

For the first time in a few years it feels like we have something to build on vs just strip down and start over. We will see what changes get made this offseason and how we look in the spring game.

o me, this was a better offense than 2014 and 2015.

That's a low bar.

By far the biggest issues is red zone efficiency. We absolutely suck when we get close to the goal line. There's a reason why Cole Tracy broke the LSU record. First, he deadly accurate and secondly he was given so many opportunities. To me it's symptomatic of E's lack of creativity in play calling.
