This. The season isn’t even enjoyable, knowing the inevitable outcome.

JJ has to have been the worst of the Miles era right?

12 yards offense in the first half ?? smh

Yeah, all the signs were there that LSU's offense was going completely in the tank. This game was just about as bad for Jefferson as the national championship. I think he ended up accounting for 25 total yards for the game. That is really bad. But at least he threw 1 TD.

Surprisingly, he actually was more successful against Bama overall than any other QB during that time. Only two other teams beat them from 2009-2011 (Auburn with Cam on their way to the NC and South Carolina). Overall, he completed 65% of his passes against Bama, averaged about 2.5 ypc and LSU beat Bama 2 out the 4 games he played in (though Lee came in and hit a big pass in 2010 to secure the W). He actually played really well at Bama in 2009 and we were winning in the 4th quarter, but he got hurt along with Charles Scott and it blew our chances to beat them. 21-0 was his only bad game against them. Terrible way to end a career.

Mathieu literally won this game himself. Unbelievable and the greatest player to ever put on a jersey at LSU.

1. Punt return for TD
2. fumble recovery leads to TD
3. Long Punt return(one is the best I have ever seen that was one shoe string away from another TD) leads to the 3rd TD.

LSU up 21-10 in the 3rd. Anybody want to bet how this game ends? No limit I’ll take all bets.

Yes, he was phenomenal. One of the most changing playmakers I have ever seen on any level.

As soon as he came in for the Bama game in 2011, I knew he’d continue getting more and more playing time. I have no clue why Miles was so married to him when he clearly was not good at all. Lee was a much better quarterback.

The offense was never as good when Jefferson took over the last few ballgames.

Jesus Id forgotten how much of a beast Hilliard was. Georgia looks like they are trying to tackle the terminator.

A tough break having to play the best pure defense of the modern era of football again

I disagree: LSU had the better defense that year.

LSU did two things Bama didn't have to do that year:

1) beat two teams with a top-10 offense, while Bama didn't play any team with a top-40 offense.

2) get Jordan Jefferson to a national championship game.

The 1st half of that game convinced me that the season needed to be over, quickly.

I was at the game, and at the half the LSU fans there were convinced we’d lose. UGA had opportunities to score at least 10 more points and blew it, and our offense wasn’t capable at all.

I was at the game so never seen the broadcast. Seems Danielson and Lindquist thought Oklahoma State was going to get the 2 seed. Damn...

I still have a clock that doesn't work in my dining room set at 9 to 6. Great season.
