Tyrann’s 2 punt returns were the only highlights for me and the second punt return was a thing of beauty even though he didn’t score. The first punt return tyrann was lucky because he looked like he dropped the ball before he got in the end zone. We needed punt returns for touchdowns in the Arkansas and Georgia game to wake up because Jordan Jefferson was terrible.

Well I’ll say Les Miles sucked arse for offensive game plans. We didn’t have a single first down in the first half and 12 yards of offense. I think a high school squad might’ve had more production on offense. I saw signs he needed to go then even though we were 12-0 but it was foreshadowing of the years to come

Yea, not one first down with 2 minutes and change left in the first quarter. Just shows how bad this offense was really coached. And we were sitting there with Lee and Mett on the bench.

It was the epitome of what people have long argued. You better play to a standard and look at the details bc if you don’t, eventually it will cost you. Winning sometimes masks problems and makes us blind to the inevitable

You can say that, but it was pretty clear LSU would have lost the 1st time to Bama without putting Jefferson in the game. Lee had two picks and was extremely rattled. Lee did a great job his senior year and should have at least gotten a chance in the national championship, but I seriously doubt LSU would have gotten the Bama treatment and made it to the NC if we would have went 11-1 in the regular season.
A tough break having to play the best pure defense of the modern era of football again along with Miles' stubbornness did us in. But it was a hell of season up to that point.
