No they were about equal - they each did things well and did lot of things bad. Also lots wasn't their fault - they had no QB coach and offensive scheme was crap.

The last 3 games of the regular season were the best numbers the offense put up all season.

People forget how bad Lee was against Oregon, Kentucky, Bama. Against Tenn the offense was stagnant until JJ came in the 2nd half
He literally threw 2 routes all year - a go route to Reuben and comeback routes to Beckham or Reuben

Jefferson started that game and played better than Lee in that game. Jefferson had already been back and splitting time with Lee to that point. Basically, you are wrong on all accounts here.

JJ has to have been the worst of the Miles era right?

Jennings and Harris were both worse.

I have no clue why Miles was so married to him when he clearly was not good at all. Lee was a much better quarterback.

Name the LSU QBs with multiple wins over Bama.
Just to get you started, your hero with a 1/7 TD/Int ratio vs Bama isn't on that list.
Hell, it has to be a real short list of any CFB QBs with multiple wins over Saban, maybe only Jefferson.

Facts are, the offense was it's most productive of the regular season after GOTC, prior to playing #5 D in SECCG and #1 D in NCG.

shite gameplan... same thing would've happened with Lee, just with more interceptions.

No one is out here saying Jefferson was a good QB, it's just Lee was even worse.

I disagree: LSU had the better defense that year.

LSU did two things Bama didn't have to do that year:

1) beat two teams with a top-10 offense, while Bama didn't play any team with a top-40 offense.

2) get Jordan Jefferson to a national championship game.

LSU had a phenomenal defense and I think it was a better big-play defense than Bama. However, although Bama played a collection of atrocious offenses, Arkansas finished as the #15 scoring offense and LSU actually finished as the #17 scoring offense. Bama gave up a total of two touchdowns in 12 quarters and an overtime period to what ended up being the #2 and #5 ranked teams in the final poll. Bama is the last team to give up under 10 ppg at 8 ppg and the last team to give up under 200 ypg at 183 yards per game. They were an amazing defense. Yes, they played many shitty offenses, but they shut us down when no other team could. They shut out 3 teams and gave up 7 or less in regulation of 5 other games.

Best fans in the country!!
In that game, Jefferson was 5-13 for 30 yards, 6 carries for -5 yards and Mathieu's punt returns and UGA turnovers saved us. Our offense was abysmal most of the game.

You do remember that the first half was 6 consecutive 3-and-outs: 18 plays, for a grand total of -1 yards. That's right, -1 yards in the first half.

You do realize you can be a huge Tiger fan and still be rational and able to see the truth?

I just love how people have selective memories. Jarrett Lee was very good in 2001. His 2011 stats:

104-167
62.3%
1306 yards
7.8 ypa
14 TD
3 INT
152.0 Rating

yea, Lee didn't do well against Bama the first time.

But you were fine with Les driving the plane into the ground with Jefferson on 1/9/12? No attempt whatsoever to make a change and try to create a spark? Just keep doing what we were doing, and keep Lee and Mett on the sidelines?

It's the national championship game - it's kitchen-sink time!! Do ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING to try to create some momentum.

But we just did the same ole garbage, and 21-0 was the result. Brilliant coaching.

I would've rathered Mettenberger than Lee at that point... And yes, I said that then even when we had no idea what Mett would be.

I was done with Jefferson and Lee at that point.

Can you imagine if you are a former Tiger QB and happen to click on TD and there is a thread about the game where you quarterbacked the SEC title game? Brought a championship to LSU and perhaps your best athletic achievement/memory.

Then you click on the thread to relive some memories and the first thing you read is a shithead fan saying you suck.

The rant hates LSU

I think Jefferson knows he played a horrible game in the SECCG.

You think Jefferson "brought a championship to LSU?" He played a horrific game. Honey Badger's punt returns and UGA's turnovers were the key to our victory. Jefferson was 5-13 for 30 yards and had 6 rushes for -5 yards. Abysmal.

I'm sure Jefferson knows how he played. Football players aren't snowflakes.

It was a team effort, just like every other game in 2011. Lee did a good job when asked, but all said and done, JJ had better results leading the offense.

2011 SEC Championship game

We should've seen the warning signs in that game for what was to come on 1/9.

IIRC, we had more points on the scoreboard than we had passing yards. No wonder the Bama defense ate us alive in the next game after that.
