Probably the dumbest statement every made by a coach.
He should have said we beat them in their own stadium....who's next?
But he was way too stupid mentally to think on his feet.

That loss was 100% on CLM and his ridiculous hard headedness. He essentially handed the Natty to Saban

With Jefferson at QB, how much was there to really figure out? Remember the 2011 SEC Championship game? Watch our offense in the first half of that game if you can stand to. Worst performance by a college QB ever.

yup. i was there. it was bad.

This isn't exactly an easy thing to do in the middle of a game, so I doubt it actually happened

You’ve heard of when Leach left an entire fake OU playbook on the field? Texas changed every play on D to try and use that to their advantage. Every play - until they finally wisened up.

Don’t assume you know everything!

No.

Miles tried to replay the previous game.

Saban adjusted.

Despite this sheer stupidity, the LSU defense kept the game close into the 4th Quarter.

Miles stupidity and stubbornness cost LSU that game.

Will Blackwell said Miles did not change any of the game plan offensively from what they did in the first game.

Exactly. I guess Les thought if it aint broke don't fix it. Saban was ready. It wouldn't surprise me at all if bama had the signals though. bama cheated in every other possible way imaginable so would anyone be stunned if it came out that a huge part of their dynasty was a signal stealing operation like the Patriots had going?

It wouldn't be some major conspiracy that a lot of people knew about. They could've run an operation like that with just a handful of die hard gumps.

He came in and ran some option. He then started the championship game.
Jefferson actually started every game after GOTC with +60 comp% avg over the 5 games.
Each of last 3 reg season games the total offense ypg (+450) was higher than any of the previous 9 games, so some levelheaded fans might see how JJ was considered a better option.
Even more immobile than Lee, Mett might have been a risky consideration for NC game, but like most on here I didn't attend late season practices to enable logical comments on his progress by that time.

If bama ain’t shite then what does that make LSU? I’m pretty sure Bama destroyed LSU the last time they played.

shite out of LSU.Thats Les`s legacy,being a dumbass.

he biggest red flag was him pulling in a #3 rated recruiting class the year after he went 7-6. Alabama hadn’t had a top 10 recruiting class in over 10 years and was on the verge of being an obsolete program

Dude! He did it here too. Our 2001 recruiting class was the single greatest recruiting class in the history of our program. That’s after LSU languished in purgatory for the entire decade of the 90’s.

Well if there wasn’t a man downfield Joe had a 50 yard pass to Thad Moss on one of those first 3 drives

That was Mike’s game plan all year long and his tenure he was going to run the ball no matter what and a lot of teams couldn’t stop it but bama could! That’s how they were built then to stop the run first

About 12 years ago, ESPN had an article about an Alabama assistant coach that had come over from another SEC team (think it was Auburn). The coach was on the field for every game except against his former team. He just happened to be in the booth for that game. That article was quickly removed from ESPN main page. Why would he all the sudden go to the booth for the game against his former team?

Correction: It was from Ole Miss LINK
