claim split Championship for 2011.
As should all Tiger fans. The BCS became fraudulent when they disregarded the results of the GOTC, and knowingly created a scenario which rewarded Bama for losing that game. Bama only needed to go 1-1 vs LSU, but LSU has to be 3-0 vs Bama (twice) and UGA.

Jefferson was 2-0 vs Bama going into the 2011 championship game.
He was 1-1 as a starter. Lost '09 (though we were winning when they knocked him out of the game, still pissed about that no-call), won 2010, and didn't start the Game of the Century.

Signals? The opposing defense could have told Miles, "we're putting 11 in the box", and Miles still would have run into that box to "impose our will.
We lost that game because Miles and staff spend no amount of time on a gameplan.

The Arkansas game we couldn’t do anything offensively in the first half, the SEC Championship couldn’t do anything in the first half. This should have been a clue we needed to make some changes. We didn’t.

well Les did say in an interview that he was going to attack their strength. Sounds like the perfect plan.

They don’t have to steal anything. We literally ran the same plays we ran in November. We changed nothing. They knew all the checks and plays. It was easy as shite to stop.

Is it possible that Alabama was stealing LSU’s offensive signals for the entire game?
Everyone tries to steal signs. It’s part of the game. If it’s visible on the field, it’s fair game.

Deer antler spray oh and we didn’t change one thing from the first game.

Nah. That wasn't needed. Once the Mulligan was announced, LSU was toast.
Totally different game now with rematches, etc due to the playoff, but in 2011, when you beat an unbeaten team in their backyard, it meant something.
ESPN made sure LSU's accomplishments that season didn't count and it started with the rematch....but only IF LSU won the extra game Bama wasn't good enough to play in.
Reese Davis infamously said on Gameday for the SECCG right in front of cohost Saban: "If you give Nick Saban enough chances, he will eventually beat you. Coach Saban, does LSU earn the right to a rematch if they lose to UGA today?"
That was when I knew CFB was finished. Thank goodness for 2019. Rest easy that the gumps will forever try to claim their POS 2020 team as the best ever. LOLOLOLOL

Remember the 2011 SEC Championship game? Watch our offense in the first half of that game if you can stand to.
I recall having a very bad feeling leaving the Georgia Dome after that game. Despite the win, I knew we were in trouble.

The whole atmosphere surrounding 1/9/12 was weird. I remember them showing the team during warm ups in the pregame show and they all looked dejected before the game had even kicked off.

I mean I knew the offense from the couch and I'm not Nick Saban

Les was an idiot after 9-6 game saying we will be honored to play them again

Maybe there's a disconnect, but this somewhat contradicts what Jordan Jefferson and DeAngelo Peterson said.
quote:
"The play-calling bothered the whole offense," said Peterson, who is playing on the South squad in the Senior Bowl this week. "We felt like we had a good game plan that would work, that would help us do things, and I feel like the coaches didn't use the game plan. They were doing stuff that we never did all year.
"The game plan was to spread the ball out, get the ball to me, get the ball to Rueben (Randle), let Russell (Shepard) run the ball every now and then, give the ball to our running backs. In that game, Russell played like two plays, Rueben had like one ball, I had one ball. I think they went away from the game plan. ... I feel like if they had went to the game plan and given the playmakers the ball, they would have done something with the ball."

IMO, Les thought he could take the same approach as he did vs UGA. Even though we were down 0-9 at the half, we would kick-off to start the 2nd half. Les figured we could keep Bama pinned deep, force 'em to punt over and over again, and hope TM7 would work his magic. Instead, Bama got a pretty good return on the KO and them completed a nice pass to put them up around midfield. And that was that.

Who is Saban’s mentor……? The king of “Spy Gate” and accused of filming / stealing multiple teams’s offense

The game was shite but this just isn’t true.
Jordan didn’t start the first game. He came in and ran some option. He then started the championship game.
So that in itself was a change in game plan.
And when talking about worst performances from a college qb, lees first half against bama in that first game was fricking pathetic. His stats for that game were 3 completions and 2 interceptions.
If bama makes the kicks we lose that game and I don’t think we get the rematch in the scenario where bama is undefeated and we have 1-loss.

Les Miles may be one of the dumbest mother frickers of all time with regard to offensive game plans.

Of course they were. Read an article around 20 years ago. It was after we beat oklahoma for national championship. They asked Bob stoops about game. He literally said, it was like they knew what plays we were running. That was it. Imo, saban learned it from belicheck.
