Not altogether true. The onsides kick vs Auburn in '08 (successful) was tried vs OM in '09 and was almost successful.
The no-look fake FG was successful 2X (vs USCe in '07 and UF in '10).

I would be curious to find out what Lane could have done with DeAngelo Peterson. Les pretty much completely wasted his talent and his career.
