They also lost 2 of 3 to DBU by scores of 15-4 and 14-4 and also lost a series to UT-Arlington. They dominated the AAC but didn’t perform very well in non-conference.
They also put up 15 runs on DBU in the other game and Arlington was their first series of the season. This isn’t their first time beating Texas this year either

Texas was way overseeded but I don't know what you would have done with them. They lost their last 3 series, and exited quickly in the SEC Trny. This is not a surprise.

Their SEC schedule was a joke but nobody in the media had the balls to bring it up.

They played exactly one road series against the top ten teams in the sec standings and got swept.

It was the same story as Texas football getting a bullshite schedule and being highly overrated walking into the postseason.

Every time I see those gifs from 2019 football game it makes me kinda sad. Miss how college football was before the portal and nil

Anyhow, Texas has a tough task ahead for sure

I think we could see Texas coming a mile away. They peaked too soon and way overperformed through the first 20 SEC games, then hit a trough. They were everyone’s national seed to not make it to Omaha.

There are a number of host schools that will have to come out of the loser's bracket today and tomorrow and win three games.

Add Southern Miss - if I’m not mistaken.

We beat them the first game we played them, too. Then, we lost the next two games.

UTSA has played UT twice this season and beat them both times. Doesnt seem to be an anomaly.

And gave up 11. They lost the series, lost by mercy rule twice, and gave up 40 runs in 3 games. There’s no way to spin that as a good performance.

Arlington was their first series of the season

Unfortunately, all their non-conference weekend series were early in the season, so that’s all we have to judge them apart from the AAC. Besides DBU and UTA, the other non-conference weekend opponents were terrible.

And Northwestern St beat LSU 13-3 in a midweek game too. That doesn’t tell us much about a team’s true strength.

Oregon is the only national top 16 seed to be eliminated, but there's a good chance that some of the 7 in elimination games today won't survive.

Some unlikely teams in the 2-0 driver's seat:

Murray State
UTSA
Miami
Duke

Not a big shock that WVU is undefeated, or Louisville, or Arizona.
