Just to note...this is when Les was OC and not HC.

Also...just read that while Les was OC in ‘97, Rob Ryan was DC.

Crazy to think that Miles used to be an OC.

Also crazy to think that was only the third season of the Big XII.

ETA: Also, WTF is "Date Rape Play" on their schedule on 8-15?

That's easy.

1st down- run up the middle
2nd down- run up the middle
3rd down- run up the middle
4th down- punt

Rinse and repeat

Lol you likely don’t understand 10% of what’s in that playbook yet you mock a NC winning coach.

Crazy to realize Miles offense was literally 10X better at scoring than Ed's? (Only 2009 less ppg than '17 and '18)
BTW Miles has the top 4 scoring Os in LSU history, each under different OC (2017 LSU Media Guide/Records).

Probably sent the players to watch a play about date rape. I was in college during this time and "date rape" was a relatively new term and topic.

so, WTF is "Date Rape Play" on their schedule on 8-15?

The evolutionary start of the Toss-dive?

I've come to the conclusion that people are just idiots when it comes to things like this. Most of the guys you see dogging Miles are also the guys making every excuse in the book about why Orgeron isn't producing on offense. Kind of people that think tearing down someone else will make their guy look better.

If you pay attention you realize that with Miles as HC or OC OSU beat Oklahoma 4 out of 7 tries. In the last 50 years, OSU beat Oklahoma 7 times.

Gundy has also beat Oklahoma twice as an OC and twice as a HC while at OSU. He was Miles OC. Since taking over in 2005 at OSU he has beat OSU twice in 14 tries.

But we all know Miles sucks so there's gotta be some other explanation.

This was my big thing in possibly not wanting Jimbo. He and Saban had some offenses worse than Les and his crew of bbq buddies.

If you go back and watch his old coaches shows, way diff than at LSU. IDK if LSU just dumbed it down for the fans or if it became one of those, don't give anything away on any forum time of deals.

I have a suspicion they're the same crowd who a decade ago were shitting on our championship by claiming 'Les needs Saban's players to succeed.'
