Eddy Furniss never used the Easton Redline bats. He said they were too light.

The official Easton Redline bat that was first manufactured was in 1997.
Todd Walker never used that bat. Easton made those changes and introduced that bat that year.

Depends on how the team does.

If he adds a ring and goes 1/1 he has a serious argument.

He’s saying Furniss used the same bat Walker used. Not sure if that’s true but good lord your reading comprehension blows

Albert Belle is the best player to ever wear an LSU jersey
Dylan Crews is the best player WHILE wearing an LSU jersey.

There is a difference….but Crews has time to change it.

That was not the original comment. This guy posted pictures and made a claim that Walker used redline bats that were not introduced until 1997. Plus he made a comment about Furniss without a lick of evidence. NONE. He failed on both accounts. He posted a picture of Walker with an Easton bat that had redlines and assumed it was one of the “hot” redline bats that was changed by Easton for 1997.

You should read or at least make an attempt to research the comments before calling someone out. But that is about right for kids. Call names and hope people don’t reply by beating the shite out of you.

Hey moron. I played in that era. I know the bats. You said Eddy used the suped up bats. I showed you by using pictures that Eddy and Todd Walker used the same bat. I was the one who mentioned the Easton Redline bats. I know the Easton style of bats used in those days. I know the TPX (Louisville Slugger) bats also used in the mid-late 90s.

And guess what, Dylan Crews is every bit as good as those guys. He will be drafted higher than those guys were. He may have a better MLB career than those guys. Time will tell.

You can’t hold “has to win a national title over him.” Todd Walker had Mike Sirotka (all time LSU great and solid MLB career) as an ace pitcher when he won a title. Dylan Crews had Makhail Hilliard. Those two are not comparable.

This thread is about how good Dylan Crews is—overall, but it began as how good he is right now—and you’ve put energy into posting several of these non sequitur paragraphs about the difference—or lack thereof—between the bats used by Todd Walker and Eddie Furniss. Not comparing them to the bat Dylan Crews currently uses—we passed that 5 pages ago—but the bats of Walker and Furniss that nobody but you was really interested in talking about.

But speaking of not being interested in talking about, my biggest problem with what you’re doing in this thread (and what that Thiacin guy was doing in another with Gavin Dugas to a lesser extent) is you’re putting us—those who realize how amazing what Crews is doing right now—in a position to have to argue against Todd Walker. And I have no interest in doing that.

I’m in my mid-40s, and Todd Walker, like I’m sure he is for most LSU fans close to my age or older, is my favorite LSU baseball player of all time. It’d be hard for him not to be since I was a baseball obsessed kid when he was doing what he was doing at LSU when they were 1st starting to win National Championships (I also have an affinity for Lyle Mouton and Gary Hymel for what they did in Omaha during that 1st title in ‘91). At 44, it’d be kind of weird for me to have that same kind of “love” for a player today that I did when I was 15.

But I understand that Dylan Crews is a much better overall baseball player than Todd Walker, Eddie Furniss, and every other LSU position player that came before him. (Because of all the changes in college baseball the past 30 years, he won’t be putting up numbers like them). But I have no interest in tearing down my childhood heroes to make that point, which is what you are constantly putting us in a position to do to “win” an argument that’s really no argument at all.

What was the “original comment”?

Choupique’s post is unedited and he never mentioned Walker used Redline bats. Can’t find anyone in this thread who did.

He also provided proof by posting Walker and Furniss using the exact same pre-97 bats. The Furniss picture was from 97.

Do me a favor and google photos of Furniss while at LSU. He’s using the same gold and red bat that Walker used. Lmao @ “Easton bat with redlines”

Once again you failed in reading comprehension and also, somehow, in picture comprehension. You fricked up like you do in 90% of threads. Take your L and save your senile arguments for the next thread. Us “kids” memory is clearly sharper than yours

Eh.
See what he’s hitting after Sanford and Southeastern are well in the rear view.
