I could be completely wrong-definitely hope I’m not- but this kid Kling has the tools to be an all time LSU great. Imho he’s better at this stage as a frosh than crews was. Bottom line is to be an all time great at LSU you gotta bring home the hardware. The only stat that matters to me is adding to the Intimidator!!!

Nope. And that's no disrespect to Kling, he's been fantastic. But Crews was better as a freshman.

I would also argue - not tonight, but in general - that we've seen some Umps ready to call a standing third strike to punch him out - in some type of pride narrative that 10 years later he has a story to his grandkids that he called that strike.

Where does stuff like this come from? Im obviously drinking the wrong beer

Bumping this because it got even more absurd today.

Now, in 51 AB's, Crews is slashing .510/.648/.922

His OPS is a straight up video game number at 1.570.

Btw, Kling is second in OPS at 1.421 and White is third at 1.416.

That doesn’t sound like me at all.

I think Crews is amazing. You’re just upset because I pointed out your buffoonery in another thread. But that’s no big accomplishment when we’re talking about Lester Earl.

16 games and 51 AB's into the season... by BroskiDylan Crews is hitting .510. That is absurd and it needs to be talked about more.

Raph Rhymes was batting about .475 after 56 games.

Bell is like Honey Badger except the grudge he kept.
He was an ALL TIME great and I would have him as a HOF / Number retired if he didn’t go through what he did. He may have been better than all of them tbH. No juiced bats OR balls.
He was a stud.

Joey was cool in highschool. At practice coach Williams would throw bbs for him to hit. He could have played football on the college level too.

And you could add up the exit velo for his whole season and it would be less than Crews’ is right now. So many bleeders and seeing eye singles.

Agreed

Disagree. No need to downgrade how well he hit that season. He was great.

But he was no Dylan Crews. Crews is on another level. The power and average combo that he has at the college level is that of an all time great.

I’m not saying Crews isn’t great. I’m saying he is more comparable to Furniss than Walker.

My God, that's such an awful take. You should be ashamed.
