Was that on that WAFB special a couple couple of days before the game? Someone has to have that on a VHS tape they recorded. People were excited and recording everything before the game.

Living in Oklahoma, it was one of the most spectacular nights ever. Especially after all the arrogance and shite I caught leading up to the game. I'll never forget Lionel Turner flattening Jason White on a delayed blitz at the end to seal their fate. Absolutely glorious.

Wow time flys, can't believe it has been 15 years. I was in middle school at the time and one of my teachers was a Oklahoma fan he had to color his hair purple and gold, man those were fun times

Top 3 LSU team of all time..............

Ill never forget Stoops taking extra time in the opening practice while LSU was waiting and how pissed Saban was about it...

I was there and I have that Poster framed.

It was great evening. It got tense at the end. Had Mauck not thrown that interception I think we would have routed them. We were driving when it happened.

I love that team. I was able to attend the Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina (great time), Bama, Ole Miss, SECCG and title game, plus the UF game :(.
A season to remember for sure.

That was the last LSU football game my dad watched. I didn't graduate from LSU, but thanks to him being a fan, I became one from birth! RIP Pop

The night Brent Moosebooger kept calling Matt Mauck “Matt Mowck”. I wanted to strangle his arse.

Last night, I had a dream that ___________, his ghost, rode into the Louisiana Superdome atop a while palomino stallion, ushering in the fruition of a million childhood dreams and LSU won the game (score prediction).

For the life of me I can’t remember the person on the horse since I’ve been saying Pete Maravich for 15 years now it was probably Charles McClendon

Not going to lie, I bought into the OU hype and wasn’t confident going into the game. I thought they were going to come out pissed to make a statement after the Big 12 CG debacle.

I just wasn’t convinced we were in their level yet.

We really hadn’t seen LSU beat a truly top flight team like that other than UT in 01 and we kind of caught them sleeping on us and reading their headlines.

To get the best shot from a major program like OU was at the time, I just wasn’t sure we could hang.

How sweet to be wrong.

The very first play when JV exploded through that wide open hole and was off to the races just got rid of all the butterflies.

Even though D Straight chased him down (still don’t understand how the hell he caught JV ) and we didn’t end up scoring, that play set the tone and I think they never fully recovered.

I ran into both JV and Peterman later that night on Bourbon (much later ) and probably annoyed the shite out of them going on and on about how big that play was

Although to be fair, it didn’t look like much was going to bother Peterman at that point
