Oklahoma, Ohio State and Nebraska are the three teams I most preferred LSU to vanquish - and they beat two of them for National titles. Good stuff!

I know how you feel. I live in Ohio, die hard LSU fan. That was a fun night in 2007/08 when we defeated the Buckeyes for the Natti.

Was there with my FIL (who went to LSU in 58). He was crying when Jones punted.

I still remember going crazy jumping up and down when Lionel Turner sacked Jason White on 4th and 10 to seal the game. Amazing.

LSU dominated much of that game. If not for the flukish play and double penalty that wiped away our FG, we would have won easily. Really should have won 24-7.

Who else went to Snoop Dogg at the HOB after the game? Man, that was a great day/night...

^ I remember the buzz that was going around because of Snoop but didn't make it. I really wanted to, as he had his "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle" show on MTV that is actually underrated in Chappelle's Show's shadow but was downright hilarious at times.

Always so very glad that game was in New Orleans. I was a real young buck getting insane on the Bourbon Street.

I’m thinking at least 50% of the people that post here now don’t even remember this game.

We really hadn’t seen LSU beat a truly top flight team like that other than UT in 01 and we kind of caught them sleeping on us and reading their headlines.

Bullcrap................

We beat UGA TWICE that year and dominated them in the SECCG..............

That would be the crowd saying the 2018 defense would be LSU’s greatest ever and still rank 2011 over 2003

2003 defense was good. They ate a Heisman trophy winner for dinner that night. Every time he turned around, somebody else rang his bell.

He looked so bad that night that he didn't even get drafted. ( I know that wasn't the total reason but it sounds good and I like it)

He threw for almost 600 yds less his senior season, after that LSU game.

First thing I remember when thinking about this game, besides the game itself, was that it was the first time I had seen television in HD.

I was there, perhaps the best game I ever went to!!

ps. Although supremely hungover I believe that when I drove back the BR early the next morning....and it had snowed that night. Do I remember correctly?

shite, we fumbled the center exchange right at the goaline about to punch it in on the opening drive too. That game could have been worse, you're right. That was an awesome night.

It was pretty cool bc I played with Michael clayton in high school and he was at lsu, but we also played with Rufus alexander in high school, who was on Oklahomas team lol. I remember thinking how awesome it was that Mike won the title and Rufus didn't bc he chose to go to OU over LSU. Lol what a great game.
