I wish this debate would die and we let it play out on the field.....

Brennan was playing injured. He probably should have come out if the game. He never played after that.

I went back and looked at our run game stats. 20 carries for 49 yards all game. Which included a long run of 24 for by TDP. So outside of that run we had 19 carries for 25 yards. That is really what's inexcusable.

It’s hard to overstate how pitiful the Oline was last year, especially in the first half of the season.

I went back and watched those 4 plays. The first two were runs on which the OL got destroyed.

The reason why the OL got destroyed by a very depleted Missouri defense is because everyone on that defense knew that Myles represented absolutely no threat to run the ball. Therefore, the entire defense was free to concentrate only on stopping TDP.

Had Max been in the game, he would have inevitably sneaked it in for a touchdown on first down. Which makes everything subsequently irrelevant.

His ribs were detached from his body or some shite. I'll give the guy a break, we scored a shite ton of points that game.

Myles is this year's starter. The science...is settled.

but yet he played the remainder of the game, and did ok.

If he was too hurt to play, either he, the doctors, or O should've pulled him.

I admire his toughness, no question. But we don't get extra points on the scoreboard for having a tough QB.

A tough QB is better than one that won’t take a hit or one that runs out of bounds short of a first down.

I think neither Myles and Max will wuss out when the situation requires a tough guy.

Yea he threw for 17 and 22 passes against Bama and A&M. I think you need to look up the word "biased" in the dictionary.

Lol ok. Because the amount of passes are all that matters.

Both games were over when Max came in. Ray Charles could have seen that

Max's legs opens up more of the offense,

This nonsense needs to stop

* Both QBs were sacked 9 times, and were within 2 yards of each other in yards loss

* Max had a 2.2 rushing average, lower than any RB, despite the fact he had more carries than 3 of them

* Maxs longest rush was 14 yards. Its not like hes picking up tons of 1st downs with that 2,2 avg. Hes essentially getting a yard or two past the line of scrimmage, hardly the game changer people suggest.

* Max has the 3rd highest rush attempts. Yet the RBs are getting twice Maxs avg. For comparison, Emerys avg is 5.0. TDP is 4.3. It makes more sense to call a designed run play, than for Max to run that much

* Myles has longer passes, a higher completion rate, longer completions, a higher passer rating, more yards, more TDs, better avg, with 19 less passing attempts

As usual your statements are false and only supported by your fantasies. It’s hard to imagine an adult claiming something as stupid as Brennan can’t run a QB sneak but this is always the direction you go with your nonsense.

Honestly only one of those plays was on myles

2 were shitty runs on 1st and 2nd down. 3rd down is where you can make an argument.

4th down was a pre determined read and the defense made a play.

I'd blame the play callers.

Myles main issue is that many don't consider him to be "clutch" or have the "It Factor" for three reasons.
1.) Shaky play against Ms ST
2.) Abysmal 3rd down conversion rate in his two losses
3.) Inability to score at the end of the game against Missouri.

The second 2 points are fair but I’ve noticed that you guys never use that standard for Max. His 3rd down rate was in the teens too and he couldn’t even get us to midfield vs Florida but somehow he’s a hero for that drive.

Fair enough.

To be honest, I thought Max's 3rd down conversion rate in his two wins was decent (~40% range). Although I may be wrong.

Max also stands out in his 4th down conversions against Ole Miss where he went 3 for 3 (3 TD's). Although he may not have converted the 3rd downs, he definitely made up for a least three of those by converting the 4 downs.

People generally remember that stuff more than passer rating or completion percentage (right or wrong).

What about opposing defenses instead? The QB doesn’t play defense you know. So let’s break it down as equally as when can by their starts.

Brennan/ Max
Pypg- 370.1/ 337.0
Comp%- 60.3%/ 55.2%
Ypa- 8.5/ 7.7
YPC- 14.1 / 14.0
Passer rating- 154.7 /148.3
TDs per- 3.7 / 3.3
Rypg- (-18) / 47.5
Total ypg- 358.7 / 385.5

Defensive opponents averages
St./Vandy/Missou Fla/Miss
Ypg allowed- 428.2 Ypg- 473.5
Ppg allowed- 32.6 Ppg- 34.6
Ypg rank- 79th Ypg rank- 104th
Ppg rank- 85th Ppg rank- 96th

QBs/offense vs opp defenses
Brennan
St avg- 389.7ypg, Brennan put up 425yrds
Vandy avg- 487ypg, Brennan put up 498
Misu avg- 408ypg, Brennan put up 479
Offense under Brennan scored 4.3 TDs per

Max
Fla avg- 428ypg, Max put up 418
OM avg- 519ypg, Max put up 593
Offense under Max 4.0 TDs per game

I like both guys a lot but we need to stay as close to the facts as we can when comparing “Last Season.” If Max has improved enough to take the job it wouldn’t surprise me but none of us have actually witnessed that process. If we’re going by last year and want to have an honest discussion about that we need to reject the false narratives that are flooding this topic.

It is Max and if you don’t realize this then you don’t know football.

Either way they are both great options as starters and if one goes down there isn’t really much of a drop-off. The separation isn’t much but Max will be your starter.

I re watched second half last night of Florida game.

I’m not sure Max made one play the entire half.
Numerous 3 and outs
Seemed he always threw ball to check down receiver and missed open wrs that would have resulted in big gains.

I’ve got more faith in Myles than Max at this point. That obv could easily change.
