Dooley's fate was sealed in that game.

Weird game. Should have never been that close in the first place to such an inferior team like Tennessee was that year.

I have never felt closer to being inside of a riot/unrest than in those moments. The rage was palpable. It was weird. People were annngggrrry.

That was one of Dooleys first games at Tennessee. The year before he had LSU on the ropes with La Tech in Tiger Stadium.

Was this the one where Jefferson took off for like a 95 yard TD on the first play of the game? The games all blend in for me sometimes

You would be correct. I was there, lets just say mildly intoxicated. Started tiger baiting this UT fan who was talking shite pregame after we scored first play. Sat the rest of the game with my head in my hands. We both just laughed at the last play.

Thanks to that game I got 4 tickets to the LSU at Florida game for $100. Turned out to be a great game that LSU won.

I have never seen a team play down to their opponent so regularly as Les Miles teams at LSU.

I would have felt very cheated if I were Tennessee that day. They got the call right, but who gets a penalty from the replay booth after the game is over.

I’ll tell you what, once that loss became a win I didn't feel like a loser.

TOSS DIVE FOR TMFW.

But really seeing Stampley out there reminds me of how much I loved seeing our fullbacks destroy opposing LBers.

I remember turning it off after the snap, yelling at what dumbasses Miles and Crowton were for trying to substitute and botching time management, not to mention replacing Lee with Jefferson after he lead the drive.
I didn't want to listen to the commentary.
Then I learned we "won". Was happy but enraged at the blundering stupidity of the coaching staff.
