He turned back around and yelled at the other dugout, too. Douches gonna douche. Only one HBP and crushed metacarpal from watching the CWS from the dugout.

You don’t even know that he was talking at them. For all you know he could’ve just been yelling “Let’s go”. You’re basically mad because he looked into they’re dugout after he hit a grand slam.

Also, calling other people douches then talking about hitting them so they can’t play in the CWS is hilarious.

Although Tennessee's team has a lot of douchebags, after watching a lot of college baseball teams this year, it seems that most of them are pretty cocky (even the ones that suck). It seems like anytime someone gets a double, they are on 2nd base doing some kind of celebration acting like they just hit a grand slam with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to win it.

People on here just don’t want to accept that. Every team does it and people that act like we don’t are oblivious. Hell, we’ve had players tell opposing coaches to go frick themselves and others flipping off the pitcher as they run to first. It’s what makes college sports great.

Wasn’t long ago one of the LSU twins held up a one finger salute going around third.

I agree 100% with justified reactions as such. But I do admit that a) I don’t know if his reaction was “justified “ or not and b) I probably suffer from a purple and gold double standard to some degree.

Of course every team has something like that happening every once in a while, but it’s not a common occurrence for LSU. It’s every damn game for Tennessee.

Baseball is just an old school sport, in a new school world. I’m a younger guy, but I think the shenanigans UT pulls off is bullshite. You still have to have some class in baseball. It’s different than the other sports. The game does have a way of working itself out though, to those who are bush league.

Lose a pitcher or 2 or a key hitter and shite implodes fast. It is really as simple as 2017 when LSU lost Walker. 1 freshman.

Baseball is a humbling game. Those shenanigans will be blamed for inevitable losses. It will backfire.

Personally, I don’t mind the shenanigans. It doesn’t fit my concept of sportsmanship, but baseball is just entertainment. As a player or coach, if you can’t handle the insults, you probably shouldn’t be in the business. As a fan, get over it and enjoy the roller coaster.

There's no way they can maintain at this level but it's hard to imagine anyone catching them.

And I hate to break it to you but Dylan Crews did the exact same 360 as he was rounding first base when he hit his HR last night.

It’s cool when an LSU player does it, it’s “swagger”.

But don’t let another team do it, then it becomes bush league and classless.

They started their season without their projected Friday starter and are still without a projected leverage reliever.

And their centerfielder missed about 3 weeks of the season.

Yep now do that at the end of a long season when arms are tired and juniors and seniors figure out your freshman pitchers.

This is why it is a marathon and not a sprint.
That ball park is a big one in Omaha…

I hear you clearly that this is an incredible run. Keep in mind that Witchta state went 63-3 and lost to LSU in a finals. It happens

Sometimes teams peak too soon. It could be that when other teams start to peak Tennessee goes down like Texas A&M did against LSU in the late 80s and LSU did against Stoney Brook a few years ago.

I get what you’re saying, I’m just saying they’re a deep team. They’ve got guys pretty much everywhere but catcher that can come in and pick up the slack.

I think they should let Tidwell start a game each of the next three weeks and give the normal weekend guys a week off. That would help them for the stretch run. What’s crazy is that Tidwell’s midweek start the other day was the first, and only, start by a draft eligible guy all year. They’ve pretty much had the same guy starting all their midweek games too, but he doesn’t normally go deep into games.

So, after watching Gilbert do a bat flip on a walk in the 8th and stare the pitcher down on his way to first, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Tennessee Tech just beat Tennessee.

And they remain tied with LSU in second in the SEC for longest win streak at 23.

Thats all great, and i hate tennessee, but still, it was a midweek game where they used wooden bats. Quite a different ballgame

Yeah, I know. But it was still great to watch. The homer off Joyce was a beautiful way to witness physics.
