miles is a decent coach. If Saban wasn't at Bama, we would not be %$#&*@ about anything (FACT).

This isn't so. There was ample complaining when we blew a 21-0 halftime lead vs UTenn in '05, only scored 3 vs AU, and flopped in the Swamp in '06. All this happened before Saban lied.

Unless someone can stop the flood of talent pouring into Tuscaloosa, Alabama will remain at the top.

You are trying to compare Miles with Saban. There is no coach in the country comparable to Saban right now. Saban's recruiting ability, proven track record and resources available to him at Bama combine to make him the best coach in the country, hands-down. Miles actually has been relatively successful against Saban-coached teams. Alabama has steadily pulled away from everyone else, not just LSU.

Be careful what you ask for, you may get it. It will be hard to find a proven winner who will come here in after the way we treat a guy who was in the national championship game just a couple of years ago.

Perfect so we have to settle because he made it to the game and then proved his coaching medal in the game by getting his arse out-coached so badly that it was embarrassing.

No I don't want LSU to be Texas and Mack Brown of the SEC. Miles has lost his edge simple as that. and his record is starting to show it. 13-1, 10-3 & prob 8-5 this year. That is a steep decline. And please don't say one fricking word because Bama in these past 3 years seems to be doing just fricking fine!!!!

Absolute bullshite, if we pay the money we will get who we want simple as that. Money talks and bullshite walks. We go offer Jimbo Fisher $5mil a year and he takes it, and he is worth it.

Well news flash for you, that is who everyone has to be compared to. You want to compare Miles to coaches not winning the SEC and NC titles? Who gives a shite about them, the gold standard is Saban and every single coach "including Miles" has to be held to that standard or they will constantly be coming in 2nd place or worse. And who remembers 2nd place or worse????

Not arguing that point one bit....JUCOSs and Division 2/3 need HCs as well!!!

Are you sure? Butch Jones and Bret Beliema are getting paid more than Miles right now. i don't have any confidence in those hires.

The problem I see is that Saban is an expert at getting top notch talent out of LA and basically anywhere else he pleases. Those #1 recruiting clasess are paying off dividends for Bama. Our talent depleted defense couldn't shut down Furman. Our Oline was handled at Bama.

We will see what happens in Feb, but it's about LSU getting back closer to Bama's talent level. No drop off there unless Saban bolts (unlikely).

I am not disputing the Saban is the best. Re-read my post. Miles is not Saban and never will be, and neither is any other coach in the country.

As I said above, unless someone can stop the flood of talent pouring into Tuscaloosa, Alabama will remain at the top.

How many people thought Miles was better than Saban prior to 1/9/12? Do you still feel the same way?

If LSU fired Miles at 1:00 pm today, there would be a line of airplanes a mile long at the BR airport full of AD's from across the country by nightfall. The delusion and idiocy of some of you people is beyond belief. Anyone not happy with what LSU is offering should jump ship and go root for Alabama. Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
If you really believe that logic. But by the same logic you would have to conclude that we would have 7 of the top 10 coaches in the nation flying into BR airport to be interviewed...see how that works?

BTW, no one has yet to name a single school who would hire him today.

I never thought he was better...luckier??? yea....had some nice breaks???? certainly...had some talented players??? absolutely....but never better.
His record coming out of Okie St. was just never that impressive and the guy that has followed him has done ok for himself.

Actually he does a good job in that, the problem is he doesn't change it as the game goes on.

You must mean when miles' agent started that rumor huh? Maybe Arkansas would have hired him as considering the run of coaches and losing seasons they have suffered. You think maybe Texas is going to offer Good Ole Les that job, as they have Satan ?

I ACTUALLY spoke with Miles' agent (yes for real) about the 2007 Michigan fiasco. Much of what we heard was false.

It's up to the "Top Guy" to make the needed changes. He's the only one that can do it. Alleva aint gonna say shite to him. Hopefully some TAF people, Alum Power Brokers, along with "Snow Peas Jeaux" will "Suggest" some staff changes in the off season. (Which are sorely needed)

This is way off. Miles and his staff are as good as anyone. Alabama has better players. If you can't see that, then I don't know what to tell you. Saban is getting top notch talent from any region in the country he wants to get it. Saban does nothing special in terms of Xs and Os. Saban's philosphy is simple: football is a game of match-ups. If your guys beat the other guys more often than not, then you usually win the game. That's exactly what happened. Alabama has the talent and depth to line up and relentlessly beat you for four quarters. Alabama O-line and D-line literally manhandled our lines. Alabama is just better.
