What’s better for LSU, an Ole Miss win or a Texas win?

So, which scenario is ultimately better for the Tigers?

I think Ole Miss losing. Get as much 2-3 loss muddy teams in the SEC as possible. The more teams that clearly have better resumes than us the worse it is.

Texas win. Ole Miss is ranked above us.

The old Georgia coach Vince Dooley was asked one time about who he favored in the annual Harvard v Yale football game, to which he responded: "They're all of bunch of damn Yankees, and I wish there were a way they could both lose."

I want Texas to choke so badly, but I know it is best if they win.

Texas.
Knock Ole Miss down now because we can't anymore. We can knock Texas down when we play them.

Head to Heads don't matter now...just losses...I normally root for whoever is playing Bama or Texas but we do need a Texas win IMO

We want Ole Miss to lose.

"Yes LSU lost to Ole Miss, but LSU is 10-2 and Ole Miss is 9-3*" is a much easier argument than "Yes, LSU lost to Ole Miss, but 10-2 LSU is still better than 10-2 Ole Miss."

*Assuming Ole Miss also loses to Georgia

The golden boy just got his kick blocked. Time for Texas to close the door.

Chambliss has been better this half, but he hasn’t been great. That missed option route was and previous pass were both bad.

I’m not even concerned with the playoff. I know if we handle our business we will get in at 10-2

With this being the last year with an SECCG I would love to go out on top and for Kiffin to be handed that trophy from Sankey. With all the season left and parity it’s not far fetched at all that we make it to Atlanta at 7-2.

Ole Miss loses and we only need a little more help. UK losing at Neyland and against Florida or Missouri would do it as far as the rest of the help we need

Best scenario for LSU (in my opinion):

11-1 UGA and 11-1 UK meet in Atlanta for the SECC.

LSU officially knocks out Alabama, Texas and Tennessee in November by giving each their 3rd loss.

LSU gets in at 10-2, doesn’t have to waste time with the conference title game and probably gets a home playoff game.

Doesn't really matter yet. I suppose Ole Miss running the table would make LSU's loss to them LOOK better, but that doesn't really matter if we lose to Texas too.
