Be honest with yourself, do you think the Ole Miss version of Lane punts there? If you say yes you are a liar.

Impossible to know. Just needed 1 yard.

What I do know is that you had a better opportunity to win the game going for it there than in OT where they were always going for 2.

What I do know is that if you don't get the 1st down you still have the opportunity to hold them to another FG and I'll happily take that trade given how the game had gone ALL night long.

I do not expect this fricking defense to hold a team with 4 downs every single time to get into FG range with over 1 minute. So you can sit here and not expect the offense to get 1 yard, I think getting 1 yard is easier than stopping Kentucky for 4 downs from getting into FG range.

I'll take that trade with that gamble knowing the defense can still keep them out of the EZ.

If you can’t make 1/2 yard to win the game YOU DONT DESERVE TO WIN. Lane blew the win, and baker defense made sure we lost the game. End of playoffs and story. 7-5 if we luck into a win or 2

That’s easy to say now, but in the moment, it was the right call. We didn’t have a good offensive series that drive and defense was playing well. Pin the deep and let the defense handle when they were out of timeouts. Defense didn’t execute

Exactly. How can anyone be okay with the call when you literally watched the game be lost because of it.

Uhh no. You most definitely try to gain a freaking yd to seal it. Our punter had sucked arse all night, the defense was getting drove on most of the night. Should’ve been no reason to believe this defense would’ve held Kentucky out of FG range with nearly 2:00 to work with.

Still better than punting. If you think punting was the right call then you clearly had no clue as to what was going to happen because everybody knew they would kick the FG and win in OT.

It was a close game until Kentucky went for a dumb fake punt in their own territory. That blew that game open. Much closer than that score looked.

Just how LSU should have scored after their second missed FG but instead Leavitt fumbles in our own 20 yard line and gave them new life.

Well it’s good to know that if you were the head coach then you’d have made the wrong decision as well and lost LSU the game Mr. high IQ.

6 inches.....6

And we lost yards on second down because of an ignorant play call. Designed roll/cutback

It was 100% the right call. The same mouth-breathing mongoloids would be melting down if we missed the 4th down and Kentucky went down and scored a touchdown to win the game in regulation. That was very likely to happen.

Exactly thats what would’ve happened. Leavitt gave you 0 reason to trust him.

Kinda like scoring a td in overtime and not going for two to put pressure on the other team.
