I agree. If these guys are making this kind of money they need to be held accountable. Missing wide open receivers is unacceptable.

He showed a lot of heart. Idk what people are watching. He needs to improve as a passer but he can win a lot of games here. The difference was the other team had Chambliss.

He’s a competitor. He will get better, possibly much better.

Amazes me how so called fans give up on players so quickly.

I notice you didn’t use any nouns or adjectives relevant to a passer

He’s done

Bench him. Can’t stay in the pocket and misses wide open receivers. His long ball is 4 out of 10. The back up needs to play and get experience. The only positive from Leavitt is he can run, but does so when it’s not needed. Backup can run as well.

Yeah, too many people giving him way too much shite for this. He has to get better in the pocket, and with his progressions before bolting too fast. But look, the kid could have quit when it was looking real bad and we were down big. He didn’t, and led the team back to tie the game.

I think a bigger mistake was bringing Clark in on the 3rd and goal play where a TD would have given us a 4 point lead. Everybody and their mother knew what was coming when he came in the game. Should have stuck with Leavitt there. And if LSU scores there, we have a WAY different ending to that game.

He simply can't pass at the level LSU needs to be a winning program in the SEC. I think he would be a fine RB, much better than Gage , but if he is our QB for the rest of the SEC games, I think the only win we get is Arky.....maybe MS St, but it will be a close one. This offense is just leavitt scrambling after giving up on the pass pattern much too soon. He is horribly inaccurate. If he could throw a 10 yd pass to a wide open receiver 44 standing still at the goal line, we would have been sweating out a 2 pt conversion....but he missed 44 wildly outside. That level of passing ability just will not get it done in the SEC, no matter how well he scrambles.

I agree. Tonight was the acid test and the LSU QB failed the test.

He's not worth the money he's making.

Improve? He’s a veteran. If you can’t throw easy passes and scared of pocket. Next man up now.

Who was 1 of the 2 most responsible for that?

He plays scared. His first few drives were pathetic and he does not belong in the SEC. You’re deluding yourself to think otherwise

To my count, leavitt has had 11 tipped passes in 3 games, including 1 into a dlines helmet RIGHT in from of him. And a tipped pass on a rollout with 1 defender 7 yards in front of him

That's vision. That physical/visual recognition of the field and movement around you.

That is NOT easily fixable.

His biggest attribute is his escapability and his grit. He doesn't give up...and I appreciate that

Why give up on Leavitt? He didn’t lose this game. No ne of the players lost this game. Blake Baker lost this game. He had us playing soft coverage (playing 12 yards deep on 2nd and 5) for large chunks of the game. When he tightened coverage and brought pressure the D had success. Alas, it was short lived and he reverted back once the game was tied.

Nobody quits. He got bailed out on the longest pass he threw out of bounds to our receiver with a pass interference. He sucks so far. Not my opinion, look at his throwing numbers verses all FBS teams. He’s terrible. Probably a nice guy, but this is football not a social gathering.

Also he was grinning and laughing after disastrous plays. WTF? I also see zero leadership and mostly bitching on the sidelines.
