9 game SEC schedule looking dumber by the minute

You would think this board would be calling for Sankey’s head, but they have too much KDS. Cheering that abject failure on is unbelievably asinine.

It may have been the worst decision an SEC commissioner has ever made. Then he chased it with 2nd one, agreeing to the 24-team playoff. Add to that his petty bullshite against LSU, and there’s no way he remain in that position very much longer.

24 teams means a minimum of 8 SEC teams are getting in. We will have 4 mulligans now
You could argue in the Kiffin era 24 teams disproportionately benefits LSU. If we’re on the 12-team bubble we’re at the mercy of that year’s committee. If we’re on the 24-team bubble and get screwed we won’t care as much

With this 9 game conference schedule, and with it the pounding teams take (injuries), there is NO need to play any top 10 teams OOC. This year especially, I would love to see the 24-team format as the SEC has some really good depth that would make some noise in that format.

Are we locked into this 9-game thing? Eland if so, for how long? With the NCAA moving to a 24 team playoff, can the SEC nix/rescind that decision?

With the 24 team CFP in the way it wont matter. There will be 5-6 teams with absolutely ZERO chance to win a game let alone the whole thing.

Pretty sure they knew the 24 team playoff was coming and was coordinated with ESPN.

Who exactly is going to team up with LSU to get rid of Sankey? Need to get over it. He has more than enough support around the league from what I can see to keep on keeping on.

Yeah, 10 would be better with a 16 team conference. 5 home games and 5 road games.

Yup.
The 9 game schedule is why he is agreeing to 24 teams.
I was always against 9 games. Kiffin makes perfect sense in his opposition to it.

Meh. I’d rather actually watch better teams play each other.
I’d rather a 10 or 11 game all P4 schedule over 12 or 13 weeks than what we have now.

Who's cheering for Sankey?? I've not seen anyone here defending him. I still think Sankey gets shown the door once the players lawsuit against the SEC gets to the point the Presidents have to start making depositions and certainly if the SEC has to pay damages to the players as I expect.
