If lsu finishes 9-3 and has no turnover at coordinator I think lsu closes strong. That gives the coaches great momentum to sell. Winning 6 out of last seven, young players playing, showed improvement.

Then, you could have 1/2 the sec looking for new coaches ole miss, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, possibly atm and Au. That should give lsu opportunity to flip some guys and finish better than expected.

LSU's RB coach was the #2 recruiter in the nation last year per 24/7.

Austin Thomas was instrumental in LSU landing two #1 players at their position last class.

Meatball - Dennis Johnson - was the lead recruiter for Chaisson and Shelvin.

LSU will have a good finish. They already have guys for the class that won't show up in any rankings - Fehoko, Jonathan Giles and Thaddeus Moss - Randy Moss' son.

One thing that hurts is that it is considered a down year for La this class.

I remember us finishing 16th in like 2010 or 2011

2012 was ranked 13 (9th in 2010 and 8th in 2011).

Our highest ranked guy in 2012 was Kwon.

Also included:
Vadal Alexander
Danielle Hunter
Corey Thompson
Jeremy Hill
Jerald Hawkins
Travin Dural
Deion Jones
Jalen Mills

There were other smaller contributors, but these were the main guys from that class. All in all a very solid class. The final class score was 252.55. We should pretty easily surpass this score this year. Looking at the class calculator, I think we'll end up no lower than the 270 range.

Maybe we could recruit several more tight ends with 5 stars, that would boost the rankings, but not much for the team

Depends on the new coaches. If those other schools land a Chip Kelly or Scott Frost, recruits will see a better future there. Plus they might poach Aranda or Canada which leaves us uncertainty at coordinator.

I expect 1 or 2 hires in the SEC that will look like home run hires.

LSU offered these low ranked guys very early. That leads me to believe they are players. I don’t care what they’re ranked, as long as they’re good. Time will tell, and only time will tell.

It’s all about developing these kids by our coaching staff. They know what they are looking for despite what these kids are ranked. I’ll be shocked if we don’t close strong. This staff has too many good recruiters on it not to.

by recruiting rankings maybe. Pretty impressive to say a ranking in the top 20 is shitty.

For LSU that is very shitty.

I guess I'm the only one who loves this class. Don't star gaze, we're getting some talent that was overlooked from the films I've been seeing.

As of right now...weakest class since 2005.

Things can still change, though.

O is not as good with the Moms as Miles was. I know that’s blasphemy, but it’s the truth.

Right now LSU is between Bama and Clemson in the rankings. Auburn is 21st. We do have a lot of 3 stars, but we have plenty of 4-5 stars targeted. I'm perfectly fine with a mix of "assessed" levels of talent if we are able to meet team needs and ID some diamonds in the rough.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. Our biggest recruit visit was for the Auburn game. I'm sure it left a huge impression on these kids.

I do think a lot of recruits are taking a wait and see approach with the new HC and OC. If we prove that the program is stable and moving in the right direction the recruits will come. And, the 2019 class will be epic.

I think there is a November bump (if memory serves me), but it usually isn't very much - movement has stabilized.
