Our team rankings are looking to be in the mid teens... I can't remember a class being so poor at this stage of the year since 2004-2005.

by recruiting rankings maybe. Pretty impressive to say a ranking in the top 20 is shitty.

Yes, most likely.

It could be outside the top 20 in all honesty. We really need Surtain and Terrace Marshall to keep up in the athlete arms race. Also need several JUCO stop-gaps on the lines.

I'm hoping Ed Orgeron is strategically grabbing underrated prospects from schools that have 2019/2020 studs, thus making in-roads to those programs/players/coaches. I also trust Aranda's opinion on underrated prospects.

Shouldn't we finish around #10 with Surtain, Marshall, Joiner, Whop?

A. We don't know we're getting all of these guys

B. Still probably not

ETA:

Are we done with rankings bumps? I do think we've got 3 or 4 guys that are very underrated.

We're the favorites for them, and that would be a better closing stretch than many teams ranked in front of us.

I think we will close pretty well and end up inside the top 10 or maybe JUST outside. I think given the circumstances, that's not a bad result. Next year if we can show some more identity offensively we have a chance to pull a top-5 class

Gahh grow some nuts and stop crying. It's October.. give it time.

I think we finish top 12. Which, imo, with everything that's been going on, is pretty good. But that's just me.

I remember us finishing 16th in like 2010 or 2011.. something like that. I remember saying the class "filled needs" though

our recruiting will be so bad, we won't sign any Scholarship Players, in The first Wednesday In February, & become the only school to ever do so.

yeah got a couple of three star guys no one else seemed to want, think one of them was named mathew or mathu. kinda spelled his name funny.

and another one named claiborne . nobody thought too high of him. with the sixth pick in the first round the Dallas Cowboys select ....... you know the rest

Depends how many impact guys come from the class. We could add two 5* busts that shoot the rankings way up. Does that somehow make the class better?

I never said that 16th ranked class didn't have good players. We got some pretty good linebackers in that class too.

Yes it probably will be. Lsu and coach 0 aren't the big names for recruits now. Used to, we were on alot of 5 stars lists/hat on a table. We used to get exited about all American games. And we used to get big recruits thru out the year. Its been crickets this year. Recruits want to go to a place with coach security

It sucks, but it is what it is

I'm not worried about rankings. Our classes under Miles were always window dressing, brining in 4-5 stars that were never utilized.

This is going to be a good class, cotton, Hines, and Rosenthal on top of Fohoko and Shelvin becoming eligible will really beef up the defensive interior. We are also going to land two maybe three of the top corners in this class, a position that O said was a priority.

Offensively we will bring in the top tackle in juco, along with talented guys like Cole Smith and Cameron Wire. We should add quality depth to a line that needs it. Seems like we are going to bring in two extremely talented receivers, including Terrace Marshall who will be a contributor from day one. I also wouldn't sleep on the class at RB, Curry is underrated, Joiner is highly touted, and Tae Provens is going to fit great into a Canada offense.

Considering this was supposed to be O's strength it's extremely concerning.
