Yup. Exposed the cover skills of the LB's. We all knew that the LB's were a soft spot in that defense and Bama did a good job exposing that.
i don't agree. I don't think bama exposed our defense at all. The lack of offense is what lost that game. specifically a lack of passing.
bama got a t.d. and some yardage at the end. however, that had more to do with the defense being wore out than bama's offense.
They made some terrific plays and designed well to secure some first downs.
At the end of the day, had lsu had some sort of passing in that game, it's anyone's game and bama, more likely than not, does not get into the end zone.

Don't get me wrong. When I say "exposed," I don't mean they ran up and down the field on them. All they did was find the tiniest of holes in the wall and kept trying to get through it and that was to dump it off to the TE. They did it all game.

I've been pro Diarse since he was a freshman. Those tweets during the BCS championship are pretty damning for LSU. You don't pull for Bama like that on a public forum if you want to go to LSU.
Eh, if he goes...he goes.

Not a chance. Whether they have a right to be or not his family is pissed about the way things worked out with JJ. Sure he wasn't the best player, but he constantly got booed and had racial slurs thrown at him. You can say whatever you want about him, fans should support their team (short of ryan perrilloux behavior).
That brings up a bigger topic. How do LSU fans expect anyone to want to play here with the way fans act? What do recruits think when they attend a home game and JJ gets booed? It's embarassing to be represented by so many crude and/or racist and/or non-supportive fans. BTW I'm white so I hear a lot more of the negative things that are said."
Every school has fans that boo. Every school has fans that use racial epithets against their own players. As for "crude" fans...well, I haven't heard of LSU fans poisoning trees or being in videos on youtube teabagging someone....my point is all teams have their share.
I don't have any inside info on whether or not JJs family is pissed or not. While they may not like the fanbase, I could also see where they might be swayed by the loyalty that Miles displayed to their son.

I hear so many people talking about John Diarse and I think we have DB's who he can't compete with. The must gets for 2013 is Desean Smith (te Lake Charles Barbe) and Tim Williams (de University H.S./Baton Rouge)
Posted on 1/23/12 at 3:52 pm to Respublica88
Smith is a beast. I know he is a TE but this is the type of guy who can be a dynamic receiving threat in a game. He can create all kinds of mismatches for our offense to exploit. Would not surprise me to see him get unusually highly rated on recruiting sites. Not many TEs get huge praise on them.
Diarse is a straight baller. Great football player. This guy's stock might end up dipping badly though because his recent combine wasn't that great. He ran like a 4.8 in the 40. Where do you put a guy like that in the SEC? He isn't coming to LSU but he is probably one of the best players in the state. Will be interesting to see if his stock dips like what happened to Broadway.
Jefferson's film is impressive. And before people say we don't need another Jefferson...he isn't JJ's real brother. His film is way more impressive than JJ's ever was in HS and he has great straight line speed. Bama is on him too but I have no idea how much since his injury.
I like Dobard but not sure we'll take him if Smith is on board here.

Please tell us more about Tim Williams...
Posted on 1/23/12 at 4:30 pm to deuce985
I would not read too much into the 4.8. That was probably laser timed and his hand timed forty is probably closer to 4.6. And as you said he is a baller.
I think Landry had times in the 4.7's at similar events and look at what he can do!

Its no wonder why we lose some recruits
Already the majority think diarse is going to bama
That he cant compete in sec
No right position for him
Its hard enough decisions for these kids without someone already putting them down
Ive watched that kid for 4 years he can go play for any school in country and they would be happy to get him
He helped neville win 2 state championships as a wr and qb.
Saban thinks enough of him to be chasing after him since 9th grade

Before Diarse goes to Bama, he will need an offer, which he doesn't have at this point. If he projects to be a safety, then why would he sit behind Collins and HaHa for a few years. Imo, Bama will have to offer him at somewhere other than safety to get him

Any other school in the SEC, and it would have been JJ handling the 1 snap kneeldown as his only line in the boxscore. His family should have LM permanently on their Christmas card list.

You've said a mouthful here. That said, the blame should be on LM, not the kid. With the corch and his family telling him he was doing great, he evidently believed it.

Only way we don't get Desean is if we have a complete frickup in his recruitment.
I am a big fan of Lewis and think we should offer pronto.

Who said anything about he can't compete in the SEC? I said his stock might drop a bit based on his 40 times. It has happened plenty times before. A great football player loads up on big offers and then his stock drops severely when they get him into personal camps. I never said Diarse couldn't compete in the SEC...I said he is a baller. And anyone who knows anything about him knows he'll be one of the top recruits in LA this year...
And if Diarse doesn't want people thinking he is going to Bama maybe he should show LSU a little more courtesy? Instead of laughing his arse off about our performance and rooting for Bama in the NC game? If that doesn't scream where he intends to go, then I don't know what does. Maybe he isn't committed to Bama yet only because he doesn't have a offer...

What all did diarse say in his tweets of the game? btw hi its my first post in this forum lol

All i'm saying is count him out, and that the people who don't think LSU fans do some shite that's worthy of being embarassed about are probably the ones doing it. It could just as easily have been a guy in a purple shirt with his scrotum out at krystal burger.

Do you know this kid? No.
Diarse and his family have no idea where he is going now regardless of his tweets.
His mom has said to me that he is constantly being grilled everytime he runs into lsu fans and that annoy them.
