That's what every recruiter at a shitty program tells better kids, and they almost never fall for it. It's a factor, but it's a factor on the margins. If you're choosing between LSU/BAMA/UGA, you might pick the one with least depth at your position--you don't choose Vanderbilt instead.
There is money changing hands.

Every ULL person hates LSU, it's their thing, jealousy I guess.
I agree and would add that it's likely that this guy is breaking NCAA rules to get these results and we don't want to poison the program with that.
re: Is tony hull in consideration for lsu now?

If that happens, then Hull planned it. If he planned, the kids are probably in on it. If the kids are in on it, how, and why would they then all turn around a commit to LSU?
I don't know. Whatever is happening, there must be real money going to these kids right now.

I almost agree, but who could make thia many different kids do something ridiculous for their gain?
Hull more likely found a really supportive bagman who wants KU fball to raise its status.

Who the hell knows, but this is what i think:
Tyrann Mathieu might be the biggest and best difference maker in modern LSU history.

Speaking of circus children, i mostly only use the forum when LSU is undergoing extrene circumstances.
Why would anyone here increase their TD posting during the election? This is a reliable red state in a just as reliably red region.
Objectively speaking, as an anti-Trump person, it feels like a smack in the face when my Baton Rouge brothers from another talk crazy ish about Trump being crazy :-). Love him or hate him, acknowledge he's loco and let's move on ;-). I <3 US

Do you have any links? I'd be interested in reading more. I think espn is mostly group think and bs, so i wouldn't put it past them to F this up. At the same time, if this happens on someone's watch, and that person IN ANY WAY, TAKES ANY SYSTEMATIC APPROACH to ignore or unfairly alleviate themselves of the issue, they are guilty af.
Winning percentage at current school:
Meyer (92%)
Saban (86%)
Looks like you need to hail to the (real) victor in the B1G.

re: Bama Fans Nervous Kiffin will Land at LSU

Lol at too much passing, Hurts had 19 attempts. As inaccurate as Etling was, Jalen is about as accurate as a flag football qb.
OSU manhandled Bama in the playoffs.
Your beloved coach has given Kiffin 3 consecutive shite QBs just like LSU has had, but Kiffin has made them look like heisman finalists, so, good luck getting back to "bama football" if you're going to keep recruiting like that.

Typical bama fan cognitive dissonance "We don't care where Lane ends up" ... "there is no way coach Kiffin is headed to LSU."
For someone who doesn't care, you seem pretty insecure about it (2nd paragraph has a lot of rambling).
You're also on the wrong f-cking message board just so you can talk about it, so it must concern you.

Is there something about Art that I'm missing, or are you and and the 15 people who like this post OK with a guy that knowingly looked the other way to allow a systematic cover up of rape?
If I had to guess, Kiffin takes a HC job and Sark takes Bama OC job. I hope O is also having these thoughts--we keep acting like he's playing 3d chess, but wasnt the offer to Tua a bad call? And will Sark really leave for LSU? Saban doesn't seem to get done over very often.
re: There is only one coach out there who would make Texas hold off hiring Herman...

He would die with 3 statues at 3 different schools, undeniably the best of all time, gto of T-town for one of the best cities, get the the thrill of rebuilding one last time, get paid 10 mill a year. I don't think it will happen, but there are reasons.
Gruden??? Did no one see that? Sounds like BS.
Of course, I'll keep refreshing anyway.

re: If there is not an offer to Tom Herman than alleva has failed

I find this question compelling too but I worry about our recruits being more NFL style recruits, would going too deep into the spread be a waste of their talent? Alabama is even integrating zone read into their play, but their defense has been good enough to make up for Jalen's mistakes and they have one of the best OCs.
We let bama off the hook in 2012 and 2014. No doubt Mett was a good QB but he would have probably performed better under Jimbo, and 2014 never would not have happened.
Even this year, if Etling was a more accurate thrower, we may have beaten bama, or maybe lost by 3.
We're not that far away. Pro style offenses aren't extinct, and I think Jimbo is smart enough to adapt if he feels he needs to.

I think the Joe Alleva hate is a little misguided. He tried to give fans what they want, and what the program needs in Jimbo instead of Miles last year. Whether Jimbo turned it down or FKing and board members turned it down, it doesn't seem to be his fault.
He was in a tough situation with UF in September, it was 2 against 1, and I think he got an optimal result given the constraints. He knew he would take hits in the media but at least saved us a home game.
As for bball, I don't pay much attention to it, but it seems that the #1 recruit wasn't going to do much for any school, he probably picked LSU because he knew we would treat him like royalty, unlike at UK where they're used to players like him. He wanted to skate by and wait for the NBA, never had intentions of putting up a lot of effort for us.
The coaching situation last year certainly made Alleva look dumb, but it seems he did all he could do.

What leaks? Are you referring to the Advocate being told the following? That doesn't seem significant, I can't imagine how you could draw conclusions one way or the other based on this. It's pretty vague and general.
Meanwhile, university leaders have kept “the lines of communication open with Jimbo Fisher’s people,” and they feel strongly that he’s “very interested” in returning to Baton Rouge.

For me it just seems more complicated the more i think about it. I think his personal life is a wreck because his ex let several young dudes hit. On the other hand, how can he see he kids if his wife doesn't move to baton rouge? It seems having them around would be a key to a new start.
I still think he wants to come here, just trying to make it work.
If i knew we could have him or Herman I would just flip a coin. I think Herman might have more potential upside but is less proven, and I dont mind taking that gamble.

Why is everyone so sure Herman is so set on UT? I know about his connections there and what a few assistants have said, but those assistants seem to be speculating just as much as anyone.
I'm trying not to wear my purple and gold glasses here--i think recruiting is so much better without the in state competition TX faces. I also think LSU doesnt require much tweaking to be a contender, UT is much more of a rebuild.
I also wouldn't be surprised if UT loses site of things a bit, spending a lot of its time going after Saban and Meyer fruitlessly.
Of course, a lot of people would rather spend their time in Austin than BR, but coaches don't even have a lot of time like that. I get that it's a better job, but a lot of coaches probably see them as comparable.

People get mad when I say this, but i think if we strike out on:
Jimbo
Herman
Chip Kelly
...Orgeron + an incredible OC (but who? Kiffin worries me), or Dan Mullen would be interesting picks, I'd be disappointed but could get behind those.
I used to be a Shaw and Stoops guy, I'd take them, but I don't see a ton of upside... not sure Shaw could beat Saban with that system and Stoops doesn't bring new entergy, feels like another Les.
I don't know enough about Fedora and Gundy but can't reconicle the upside vs risk.
More than anything, i think we should go after Herman hard because Chip and Jimbo would be tough, and putting UT in their place would feel so damn good.
