What’s the story on 2025 5* WR Caleb Cunningham out of MS?

He’s a top 10 recruit on On3. 80% prediction to MS State. Also has Bama, Ole Miss, LSU listed in the mix.

It’s hard to imagine this kid watching LSU’s offense (and what our WRs are doing in the NFL) and saying, “nah, I’ll go play at State.”

I’ve always wondered why MS isn’t more of a pipeline for LSU?

Definitely listening, but it will be real tough now with Lebby at the helm at MSU, which is a short 30 minute drive for Cunningham. Have to imagine Cunningham will be Lebby's first major target with Deuce Knight committed to Notre Dame

It's been said on here that it's hard to pull from Miss. I would presume there's good sense of State pride there.

Mississippi kids are notoriously hard to pull out of the state.

It’s surprisingly hard to get those guys to leave the state.

I don't think a lot has come out of southern Mississippi lately, plus northern Mississippi is basically untouchable with both in-state schools up in that vicinity

I will say, watch for Andrew Maddox and Kevin Oatis this year, especially once we get a d-line coach situated

What if he wants to play in his home state? You know like LSU fans expect LA kids to do.

This wasn’t always a thing. I remember under Hallman and Cholly Mac (when LSU was a MS State level team), all the elite LA recruits went to Miami and other out of state schools.

Thank God for Kevin Faulk.

believe it or not, some people that grow up 20 miles from Starkville are State fans.

We have way better looking girls though.

A 10 at State is an LSU 8!

My wife and I live in Mississippi and she knows Caleb. She frequently drops “GEAUX tigers” to him, but it’s hard to pull a kid from Ackerman when there are 2 major SEC universities within 1.5 hours from his hometown.

[quote]Mississippi kids are notoriously hard to pull out of the state.[/qoute] You would think that would make for a more winning tradition than those schools have.
