What does the Martin and Petitto hire mean if anything to Stewart and Bradford?

These hires are bigger than any one recruit.

Austin Thomas seems to be the mastermind behind these moves.

Likely nothing. They were involved in the NIL packages but their departure does not mean the packages leave with them. Longer term ramifications than short term.

We’ll get them when they hit the portal

Didn't we lose out on Bradford because we just didn't recruit him hard enough?

I have a CHS sauce that told me LSU was well behind some other schools as far as frequency of visits was concerned. Obviously OSU had a big NIL package, but maybe we got a little complacent?

Bradford was pretty clear that his recruitment was shut down and he had no interest in flipping to LSU. I doubt one off the field staffer leaving would affect that.

quote:

“It’s a feeling that you can’t really describe,” he explained. “It’s a feeling like God is telling you, ‘you have to do it’. I talked to my parents about it, I talked to my relatives about it, my close friends. It’s a good feeling.”

There was naturally some skepticism about how firm the commitment would be. Bradford lives in Baton Rouge and the hometown LSU Tigers were the runner-up and his brother signed with the Tigers in the 2025 recruiting class.

But Bradford isn’t concerned about what the doubters are saying.

“I’m a man of my word,” Bradford started. “At the end of the day, other people can try. I don’t mind telling people about it, I don’t mind explaining myself, but I’m a man of my word and I plan on sticking to it.”

The rumor is Sam was the go to in Bradford recruitment. I'm not saying he flips but Bradford and his family are very comfortable with Sam

IF TRUE...all it takes now is Sam to show them the "behind the scenes" at OSU and for LSU to be right there on NIL...Not saying he'll flip...but they may be thinking

Lamar Brown tweeted about A&M feeling like home, wanting to leave the state for college, wanting to wear maroon, and pretended to cancel his OV to LSU.

Projected NIL is listed as about 350k. You would think he would flip if some coaches made a visit and offered him that.

How the hell does LSU not recruit the top safety in country that’s right in LSUs backyard hard enough? And on top of that, safety is a big need for LSU still. Just flat out not recruiting a 5 star safety in your state hard enough is asinine to even suggest. I just refuse to believe that was the reason the staff lost out on Bradford.

It’s not, there is no way they didn’t recruit him more than OSU. They are over a 1000 miles away. It’s a bullshi… narrative someone thru out there.
Everyone on this board knows how back the backend has been the last few years.
The kid really likes OS and that happens. We can easily match the money and his family is able to drive to the stadium. If he is as good as he is ranked, he could be a shooting star in BR.

Maybe signing his brother who wasn't LSU caliber was supposed to show how much we wanted him .

I mean Jacob compositely was ranked 175 overall. A top 200 player is absolutely LSU caliber
