Bryce Underwood commits tomorrow and sticks with LSU, I believe his recruitment is the biggest recruiting win in the history of the program. Even over Fournette and Faulk, being that Underwood is from Michigan, and a potential game changing QB.
An argument could definitely be made. This isn’t crazy talk. Underwood is a program changing player. Definitely the biggest non Louisiana recruit. His career will decide the rest.

Let’s not forget about Rueben Randle

Kevin Faulk \thread
I was in 8th grade during his senior year at Carencro. My mom worked with his mom at UMC in Lafayette.
I gave him an LSU football to autograph way before he ever announced. He signed it for me and said “LSU huh?” with a smirk.

Early Doucet's high school film amazed 19 year old me.

word was he just could not master the playbook at QB
It’s not hard to do a toss dive and run an option to the short side of the field.

I was glad a poster mentioned Harvey Williams. He was certainly a big time recruit.
Of course, so was Leonard Fournette and another running back going way back, Charlie Alexander, turned out to be outstanding.
La’el Collins was one of the highest rated OL that LSU ever signed.
On defense Sam Montgomery, Bradie James and Derek Stingley,Jr. and of course Harold Perkins were among the best.

Joe Burrow would rank up there for me, even though he was a grad-transfer. No arguement that it gave College Football the greatest season ever played…

How the frick have we gone 3 pages and nobody has mentioned Early Doucet? He was the #1 WR in the country in 2004 and #3 ranked player overall. Massive recruit

I would have to say Leonard Fournette
Fournette was the biggest in my days of following LSU recruiting. That was why I joined TD back in 2011.
I was at the Spring game the year LF was the #1 Recruit and my son and I were down in the ground level portal by the locker room at halftime when LF walked in. It was like Jesus had walked in. Everybody just got out of his way and stood back and looked at him. He walked out to the rail by the field and and leaned up against it and one by one all the big recruits in the class started coming up to him and greeting him like some mob boss. I have never seen anything like that before or since...

The dude wasn’t great at catching the ball while he was here.

No his passes looked like ducks shot out of the sky. Absolutely amazing athlete. Never big enough to really play rubbing back. Was not good at catching the ball. He really didn’t start developing at catching the ball until his Sr year of college and really even in to the pros. That’s why his earliest years in the pros was special teams.
