It had been reported by some that Jay had Former Cal Baptist SS on campus for recruiting recently. Never say never, But with all this news it’s not very likely we get Chris Ramirez here also.

I can see a scenario where the staff valued Kurland’s SEC experience over Ramirez.

the only question is health, but it's a big one.

maybe strong side platoon with Ruck will help.

Got to keep Milam at SS unless that was part of the deal to come back….MLB may value him more as a 2B

That's very difficult to believe, but I'm not saying anything is impossible. I can't imagine Milam coming back and not being at SS.

Someone more willing to play 2nd or 3rd opposed to SS is what I would bet on.

Arguably the best fielding SS in our storied history?

Nah. The pros don’t need to see him field at 2B. They need to see him hit for power and steal some bases.

Yeah, I'm not sure I do, either. I think that's highly unlikely. I do think Park at second over Kurland would be a good idea, though. Both are good defenders, but I think Park has better range, and probably better arm strength, though I can't really remember what Kind of arm Kurland has off hand, but Park has a cannon.

Some might argue Park's arm would be better served at third than second, but I think we'll turn a lot more double plays if he pairs with Milam. Either way, the infield will be vastly improved.

Yeah if you've ever heard Jay talk about Milam you know this is a clown take

The best infielder of those two should play SS. MLB knows that if milam can play SS at elite level, then he can transition to 2B.

Who plays third? John "Watch Me Strike Out" Pearson? Give me a break

I thought my post pretty well inferred that it would be Kurland. Park and Kurland will play second and third, most likely. I think Park gets second, but either way, it's between those two unless someone else emerges.

Kurland is literally a 2nd baseman. He will play 2nd. Don’t over think it

I realize that. And park is literally a shortstop, but he's not going to play shortstop over Milam. Whoever between Park and Kurland is the better defender should play second base, in my opinion. That's not overthinking it.
