Maybe, just maybe (and this is an extremely optimistic view) he knows what he has at LSU and is just giving Florida an opportunity to blow him away before he eliminates them.

It’s possible. I wasn’t surprised he made the trip after Bates committed. LSU wants to build from the portal, but already picked up 4 guys who can start out of the portal that are underclassmen.

Not saying lsu can't pull him but he clearly is considering Florida. I wouldn't be surprised if Florida has offered him/his family more nil upfront.

Not surprised Mack didn’t come after the Bates commitment. Bates is higher ranked in all recruiting services and Mack is butt hurt.

Possibly, but they do have the #3 class on 247 right now.
It doesn't take much to turn it around for some of the upper tier SEC teams. It also doesn't take a lot to slide behind others either. We know as much as any program over the last 4-5 years. Never underestimate anyone and never rest on your success.

Is having the number 3 class on July 30 really that important?
If they end up there that’ll be a nice class but honestly it doesn’t seem like Florida has ever recruited poorly in the 30 plus years I’ve followed college football. Their struggles have been due to coaching
I’d imagine they had more talent than Vandy last year….

Not really, but it's a solid class with 2 5 stars and some high 4's. We don't know if UF can keep them all or develop them.
I'm not sold on Billy yet. I don't think he's a bad coach, but he has to prove he can manage a P5 program. And Cory was always a better recruiter than coach. That's why LSU had to bring in a safety coach.
