I’m not above being petty

That said, going on past behavior, it’s a question that has to be considered

They’ll have a completion, that is if Nuss doesn’t run & transfer

If Nuss bolts because he is worried about beating out AJ Swann, where would he possibly go to feel comfortable enough to believe he would start?

You think he won’t have a massive advantage over a slightly above average QB who doesn’t even know Denbrock’s offense?

He absolutely will, but now at least he has competition. LSU gets an experienced QB that will probably end up being the back up and Nuss gets someone that’s going to push him and make sure he doesn’t get complacent. Win / win imo

Nuss supporters aren't "petty" so weird comment.

And I agree, it will be an open competition. Otherwise, what is the point.

Just like with Jayden it won't be.

Is it just me, or does his playing style resemble you of Nuss? Maybe he’s a faster runner and a bit quicker to his throwing motion. And he obviously has experience which is nice.

That was probably the idea. To get someone similar that could step in to an offense designed around Nuss and fit it well should the need arise.

This is a good thing. They went and got an experienced guy that gives the team a chance each week if Nuss misses time. This means the staff believes Nuss has what it takes to be the guy and they didn’t need to go allocate a shite load of money to win the bid on someone else to be the guy. This is way better news than if they were banking on landing a big name transfer qb, even if they landed him.

So BK thinks he can win a Natty with Nuss. That speaks volumes. All in.

Is there LSU fans that do not support Nuss?

His tape is impressive and he's definitely got a cannon of an arm. I don't think getting him is a reflection of not recruiting any other QBs, but we need depth for next year and he will definitely push Nuss and may even win the job.

The reality is no true freshman QB is coming into the SEC and playing Day 1. High school football is no comparison to playing college football and it takes time for the young players to learn the system and develop physically and mentally.
