Chris Allen doesn't need Saban to tell him BR crime is out of control

But like most places if you stay out of the wrong neighborhoods you'll be just fine

It shocks me how people still don't realize who we are dealing with.

Chris Allen was never coming to LSU. And this is all horse crap. He's lived in Baton Rouge a long time. His dad works at Southern and has raised his entire family here. Also, Allen is a very smart kid raised by smart parents. Something like this would probably have caused him to really second guess Bama.

He's going to Bama because he wants to go to the NFL and be a successful businessman. He sees Bama as the best chance for that.

Why would a BR kid need to be told where the bad parts of BR are located? And if so, how is that news to he or his parents? Unless, of course, they are talking about the "rough" hoods on South Highland Rd., Southdowns, College Town, or the homes by the lakes.

That FB group sounds like a bunch of bozos. I'm certain Allen and his family knew where LSU was located long before he was a national football recruit

You're missing the bigger picture. This isn't about one recruit but about every recruit who tries to choose between the two. Kids NOT familiar with BR are just fed crime stats.

And yet, statistically, violent crime rates in BR dropped last year.

but, but Tuscaloosa gets hit by tornadoes, so don't go there.
And, murders down in BR during 2016, by 25%.

I mean, I'm paraphrasing words that were used by one of his parents in a conversation with me for why he likes Bama. But, I'm sure you know more? Chris doesn't just want to play in the NFL. He's talked to people about what it takes to open different businesses and become a successful businessman after his hopeful NFL career. Kid is very intelligent with long-term ambitions. Our coaching change removed any chance of landing him.

We have some LBs in the NFL and have had success there. But, I can see the logic in a family thinking that playing for Saban is a better business decision than coming to LSU after we've just fired our most successful coach ever and hired a DL coach.
