How in the hell could he do better in business after football going to Bama than coming back to set up shop in Louisiana?

Maybe he has post-football business goals that go beyond a desire to simply trade on his name and he thinks Bama would better prepare him to achieve those goals.

If you read the Guice story it sure sounds like BR is horrific.. apparently black people in BR don't even know how to talk to white people.

It's also weird how piece of shite from Alabama comes and shoots up Louisiana. the a-hole from the grand movie shooting was from Alabama and the a-hole that shot the cops on the side of a road was from Missouri. It's a national problem not just Louisiana.

I hope any players from Louisiana that leave fail miserably.

Saban is a piece of shite who a decade ago was selling kids on Baton Rouge was the place to be.

Dumb is dumb

Chris doesn't just want to play in the NFL. He's talked to people about what it takes to open different businesses and become a successful businessman after his hopeful NFL career.

This is absolutely absurd. Most NFL players have a presence in their home town during their playing days and move back once career is over. If his goal is business after playing in NFL then playing for home school who can also get you to the NFL just as good is the better business move.

Do y'all really not think it is a better career decision to play for Nick Saban than Orgeron?

If we are talking career, as in making it to the NFL and getting paid to play football, then both LSU and Bama will do that for him. If thought process is about after football, the LSU has the upper hand. If it's about winning a college championship that nod goes to Saban, but that has nothing to do with career.

Not gonna read every post but it seems odd that a kid who grew up in Baton Rouge would be fearful for his safety in Baton Rouge or at lsu

Not too smart if their math is not so good. He must not have the capacity to count that there are more LSU players in the NFL than Bama at this time.

This. Saban is just showing the rings. It's as simple as that.

I will say the "business decision" is stupid though. LSU and BAMA are both elite stepping stones to the NFL.

And this:

quote:

For Tuscaloosa, we found that the violent crime rate is one of the highest in the nation, across communities of all sizes (both large and small). Violent offenses tracked included rape, murder and non-negligent manslaughter, armed robbery, and aggravated assault, including assaultwith a deadly weapon.

Why would a BR kid need to be told where the bad parts of BR are located? And if so, how is that news to he or his parents? Unless, of course, they are talking about the "rough" hoods on South Highland Rd., Southdowns, College Town, or the homes by the lakes.

The lakes are actually quite dangerous at night. I wouldn't walk alone there. Seen plenty of drug action around there when I was a student a few years ago.

And someone from LSU was mugged and shot walking home from tigerland. A Catholic grad was shot behind tigerland. LSU area is actually quite dangerous.

this isn't a theory. These were words spoken directly to me by one of his parents. Now, if you want to call his parents dumb, that's on you.

This whole notion of BR being too dangerous is a crock of shite. He and his family are from here, so they know what the city is like. If saban is using this against us for kids not from here, that's more understandable. Either way, the fact that he has to resort to these tactics is just sad and speaks to the miserable maniac that he is.

And that's why they might be concerned about it.

That would make less sense because kids not from BR are less likely to ever be in the town's dangerous parts.

Kids not from here would be more inclined to listen to someone like him being that they have likely never been here and they know saban uses to coach here. If Allen and his family hate it that bad, you would think they would just move.

these tactics are just excuses for this board. we arent losing players because of this. kids would just rather play for national championships than 8-4 teams. start winning more games and beat alabama and players will follow. plain and simple.
