re: The Nkemdiche Thread: You really think he's going to LSU?

Maybe, but I'd be surprised. Anything is possible though
Yeah, Kamara doesn't look high SEC caliber, but with some technique refinement, he looks like he could be a good one. Will be interesting to see if we offer him.
The problem with that is technically we would have 3 probable package deals:
Kamara/Nkemdiche
Hines/Manning
Massington/Miles
Usually these things never pan out, but these three duos seem sold on playing together. The only one I possibly don't see happening is Nkemdiche

The problem and reason some of us more experienced with recruiting have tried to get the point across to LSU fans not to get too excited is because when he commits to Bama there will be the inevitable chorus of threads on here expressing disappointment and ruining that day on here. People say now that they aren't going to get upset or express disappointment over a recruit anymore but I can guarantee you there will be tons of posts on here expressing such. That is the point behind most of us asking folks to temper their excitement.

Great post

Could he be saying LSU is his favorite because he is an Alabama lock and doesn't want to be considered a lock?
His dad talking is the only thing that gives me hope that that isn't the case.

I'm hoping that he is just playing around with fans and media, but it just doesn't seem like something him or his father would do. I was actually worried about Ole Miss before all of this because his brother plays there. With him naming LSU his leader, its obviously not important for him to play with his brother. He seems like a great kid because he is using his exposure to get his teammates exposure. I believe he is sincere about LSU to an extent. However, my Bama bias still leads me to believe that he sticks with the long time leader and chooses the Tide.

Again I think LSU has a legit shot but I think if he waited longer it would be greater, but we will see.
Also do not get to excited about the date being set because again he announced a few weeks ago he was wanting to get the recruiting circus over and said he would probably announce this spring. I think what the LSU trip did was just decide he needs see nothing more. Do not get caught up in the post trip interviews with he canceled visits and set up a date for his commitment. Again he already was commiting this spring.
After LSU and UA what else is there for him. Both would be a great fit and nothing any other school can offer over those two for a defensive player.

it doesn't matter what school he goes to. look at the kid from MEMPHIS this year moving up draft boards at dt. one of worst coached schools in div.1 playing shite competition. RN could go to ole miss and be a 1st round pick. doesn't matter.

No offense but what did you expect him to say that is was a 5 out of 10 when asked to rate it. I think I have only seen 9 being the lowest when asked before.
Not barring the homers from rival schools but I have never heard anything negative about a recruits visit to LSU. I mean they have one of the top Ds in the country. And if solely based on on DL they are the best.
So he is treated like a king by the preseason favorite to win it or atleast get to the BCSNC(depending on which site), that produces top notch DL, and has always been one of his top schools.
If an LSU fan would think it would not be rated that high they need to follow another sport. It is not like LSU is Ole Miss who has to sign his brother that no one else offered and offer his best friend just to have a prayer.
I still think UA is in a great spot but if any school can sign RN besides UA it will be LSU. The only difference between the 2 is where he sees the best fit for him, either in a 4-3 or a 3-4. And to be honest I would say a 4-3.

Yeah but believe it or not, some people care about having a great position coach and d coordinator. Some players are genuinely interested in learning about the game they've dedicated their lives too.
Can't go wrong with either LSU or Bama in that regard, just depends on if he wants to be in a 3-4 or a 4-3

Great post and you are right on target. I do think LSU is a better fit for him. But playin for either team is gonna give him top notch coaching, facilities and game experience that can't be beat.

Yeah, I caught that yesterday. I was taken aback by the usual foosball intellect, therefore, could not respond.
