He retweets a lot of pro lsu comments that people send to him. He has only retweeted lsu stuff for the last few days. Means he is an lsu lock IMO.

I don't have an issue with LSU fans feeling hopeful or excited about Nkemdiche because that's part of the fun of recruiting. I also don't have an issue with Prom because I think he's right in his opinion. There's room for both sides.
The problem and reason some of us more experienced with recruiting have tried to get the point across to LSU fans not to get too excited is because when he commits to Bama there will be the inevitable chorus of threads on here expressing disappointment and ruining that day on here. People say now that they aren't going to get upset or express disappointment over a recruit anymore but I can guarantee you there will be tons of posts on here expressing such. That is the point behind most of us asking folks to temper their excitement.
I agree about the good publicity angle and I feel that's a good thing but Nkemdiche saying we're #1 isn't going to get us any commits. It just doesn't work that way.
I don't take seriously what kid's say to recruiting sites. Some kids are honest and open to all the reporters they talk to but most are catering to the fanbase of the reporter they're talking to and some just outright lie. Too hard to tell which kids fall in each category.
Using the Collin's recruitment as an example of why not to listen to recruiting insiders is a flawed one. 1st the kid outright lied to the LSU side and even the best insiders can't make up for that. They are forced to take these kids at their word and as has been shown over the years, some of these kids just aren't honest. BBI and Ponamsky got bad and misleading info directly from the Collins family. What was Derek supposed to do about that? Also the very site being bashed or discounted in this thread(BOL), is likely the best site in the business for insider info. As to it pertains to the Collins recruitment BOL held steady from the summer on that Collins was going to Bama. Seems to me like they were the ones with the correct info. They're credible. Sure they sunshine pump at times but all of them do to a point. BOL can do it because they're right a great majority of the time. If LSU had insiders as tapped in as the BOL guys then we wouldn't ever have to wonder a thing about what goes on in LSU recruiting. We'd know just about everything. Doesn't mean our best guys aren't good and useful, just that BOL is the best in the business.
